Allah ﷻ says,

وإذ قال إبراهيم رب أرني كيف تحيي الموتى قال أولم تؤمن قال بلى ولكن ليطمئن قلبي قال فخذ أربعة من الطير فصرهن إليك ثم اجعل على كل جبل منهن جزءا ثم ادعهن يأتينك سعيا واعلم أن الله عزيز حكيم

And (remember) when Ibrahim said: "My Lord, show me how Thou dost give life to the dead". He said: "Have you no doubt?" Ibrahim replied: "I have assured him, but to keep my heart steadfast (with me) God says:" Take four birds, then cut them all out. (Allah) said: "Then place on each of the hills one part of those parts, then call them, they will come to you immediately." And know that Allah is Mighty, Wise. (QS: Al-Baqarah | Verse: 260).

He is al-Muhyi, the Almighty. He has power to make the arid pasture fertile. Look at this dry season. Grass dead. The soil is dusty, dry, cracked. Then the water came down from the sky, and the hay became fresh. The dust disappeared and then solidified into soil. The cracks that are visible are patched, lost and become fertile. Allah ﷻ says,

ومن آياته أنك ترى الأرض خاشعة فإذا أنزلنا عليها الماء اهتزت وربت إن الذي أحياها لمحيي الموتى إنه على كل شيء قدير

"And among His signs (It is) that you see the earth dry and dry, but when We send down water on it, it will certainly move and grow. Verily, He it is Who giveth life, He verily can revive the dead. Verily He is Able to do all things. "(QS: Fushshilat | Verse: 39).

If this is what you think is commonplace, because it is used to watching it, then God has changed the heart of Abraham to be haqqul yaqin, a higher degree of faith. Not only the heart that is convinced, not just the eye that only witnesses, but haqqul yaqin is the level of confidence a person fruit from his senses.

God ﷻ revives four birds that have been slaughtered, chopped, then placed randomly on top of different mountains.

Imam Ibn Katsir narrated from Ibn Abbas that after Ibrahim 'alaihissalam chopped the bodies of birds, shuffle them, and set them on the top of the hill, he held their head in his hand. Then God ﷻ ordered to call the birds. Ibrahim 'alaihissalam summon them as Allah ﷻ ordered.

Magic happens. Things that can not be annihilated are only small things in God's sight. Allah, He is the All-Knowing that has happened, what is happening, is going to happen, and He knows something that can not happen when it happens.

Abraham saw the feathers of the bird floating. Gathering each other. The spilled blood spilled back to the appropriate rate. Bread and pieces of meat that have been slashed back together to form the body. Similarly, each member of the bird's body, they return to its original position. Connected to form a whole body.

After the organs were able to support the body, they stood up, hastily walked over to Ibrahim to find their heads. God ﷻ made their creation more than expected of Abraham. In order for her eyes to witness. And other members of the body feel.

The birds came to pick their heads in the hands of Prophet Ibrahim 'alaihissalam. When they found out they were not their heads, they rejected it. If they find the part that he holds their head, with the power of God ﷻ the part of the body is united. Truly God Almighty, Mighty, Wise. Therefore, God ﷻ closes this verse with his kalam,

واعلم أن الله عزيز حكيم

"And know that Allah is Mighty, Wise."

He is mighty, no one can defeat him. He is Mighty, no one can ever keep his will. And He is Wise in His word and His actions.

Closing

Hopefully the network of these five stories can soften our hearts to be submissive to God. He has taught that He is Almighty has the perfect ability.

He is able to revive the dead. Turn the city back to prosperity. Also turn the bird in a great way. May Allah grant us all to be ready for the day to come forth.

MEREKA YANG MATI KEMUDIAN HIDUP KEMBALI: NABI IBRAHIM DAN BURUNG

Allah ﷻ berfirman,

وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ رَبِّ أَرِنِي كَيْفَ تُحْيِي الْمَوْتَىٰ ۖ قَالَ أَوَلَمْ تُؤْمِنْ ۖ قَالَ بَلَىٰ وَلَٰكِنْ لِيَطْمَئِنَّ قَلْبِي ۖ قَالَ فَخُذْ أَرْبَعَةً مِنَ الطَّيْرِ فَصُرْهُنَّ إِلَيْكَ ثُمَّ اجْعَلْ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ جَبَلٍ مِنْهُنَّ جُزْءًا ثُمَّ ادْعُهُنَّ يَأْتِينَكَ سَعْيًا ۚ وَاعْلَمْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ

Dan (ingatlah) ketika Ibrahim berkata: “Ya Tuhanku, perlihatkanlah kepadaku bagaimana Engkau menghidupkan orang-orang mati”. Allah berfirman: “Belum yakinkah kamu?” Ibrahim menjawab: “Aku telah meyakinkannya, akan tetapi agar hatiku tetap mantap (dengan imanku) Allah berfirman: “(Kalau demikian) ambillah empat ekor burung, lalu cincanglah semuanya olehmu. (Allah berfirman): “Lalu letakkan diatas tiap-tiap satu bukit satu bagian dari bagian-bagian itu, kemudian panggillah mereka, niscaya mereka datang kepadamu dengan segera”. Dan ketahuilah bahwa Allah Maha Perkasa lagi Maha Bijaksana. (QS:Al-Baqarah | Ayat: 260).

Dialah al-Muhyi, Yang Maha Menghidupkan. Dia kuasa menjadikan padang yang gersang menjadi rimbun. Lihatlah musim kemarau ini. Rerumputan mati. Tanah berdebu, mengering, retak. Lalu turunlah air dari langit, rumput kering itu menjadi segar. Debu-debu sirna kemudian menggumpal dan kembali memadat menjadi tanah. Retak yang terlihat tertambal, hilang dan menjadi subur. Allah ﷻ berfirman,

وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ أَنَّكَ تَرَى الْأَرْضَ خَاشِعَةً فَإِذَا أَنْزَلْنَا عَلَيْهَا الْمَاءَ اهْتَزَّتْ وَرَبَتْ ۚ إِنَّ الَّذِي أَحْيَاهَا لَمُحْيِي الْمَوْتَىٰ ۚ إِنَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

“Dan di antara tanda-tanda-Nya (Ialah) bahwa kau lihat bumi kering dan gersang, maka apabila Kami turunkan air di atasnya, niscaya ia bergerak dan subur. Sesungguhnya Tuhan Yang menghidupkannya, Pastilah dapat menghidupkan yang mati. Sesungguhnya Dia Maha Kuasa atas segala sesuatu.” (QS:Fushshilat | Ayat: 39).

Jika hal ini Anda anggap lumrah, karena terbiasa menyaksikannya, maka Allah ﷻ telah mengubah keyakinan hati Nabi Ibrahim menjadi haqqul yaqin, keyakinan yang derajatnya lebih tinggi. Bukan hanya hati yang meyakini, bukan juga mata yang hanya menyaksikan, tapi haqqul yaqin adalah tingkat keyakinan seseorang buah dari indera perasanya.

Allah ﷻ menghidupkan empat ekor burung yang sudah disembelih, dicincang, kemudian diletakkan secara acak di puncak gunung-gunung yang berbeda.

Imam Ibnu Katsir meriwayatkan dari Ibnu Abbas bahwasanya setelah Nabi Ibrahim ‘alaihissalam mencincang tubuh burung-burung, mengacaknya, dan melatakkannya di puncak bukit, beliau memegang kepala mereka di tangannya. Kemudian Allah ﷻ perintahkan untuk memanggil burung-burung tersebut. Ibrahim ‘alaihissalam memanggil mereka sebagaimana yang Allah ﷻ perintahkan.

Keajaiban terjadi. Hal-hal yang tidak dapat dinalar manusia hanyalah perkara kecil di sisi Allah ﷻ. Allah, Dialah Yang Maha Mengetahui yang telah terjadi, yang sedang terjadi, yang akan terjadi, dan Dia mengetahui sesuatu yang tidak mungkin terjadi bagaimana bila itu terjadi.

Nabi Ibrahim melihat bulu-bulu burung itu berterbangan. Berkumpul saling menyempurnakan. Kucuran darah yang telah tertumpah bertemu kembali ke kadar yang sesuai. Sobekan dan potongan-potongan daging yang telah tersayat kembali menyatu membentuk tubuh. Demikian pula tiap-tiap anggota badan burung itu, mereka kembali ke posisinya semula. Tersambung membentuk tubuh yang utuh.

Setelah organ-organnya mampu menopang tubuh, mereka tegak berdiri, bersegera berjalan menghampiri Ibrahim untuk mencari kepala mereka. Allah ﷻ menjadikan penciptaan mereka lebih dari yang diharapkan Nabi Ibrahim. Agar mata beliau menyaksikan. Dan anggota tubuh lainnya ikut merasakan.

Burung-burung itu datang menjemput kepala mereka di tangan Nabi Ibrahim ‘alaihissalam. Apabila yang mereka temui bukan kepala mereka, mereka menolaknya. Apabila mereka dapati bagian yang beliau pegang itu kepala mereka, dengan kuasa Allah ﷻ bagian tubuh itu bersatu. Sungguh Allah ﷻ Maha Kuasa, Perkasa, lagi Bijaksana. Oleh karena itu, Allah ﷻ tutup ayat ini dengan kalam-Nya,

وَاعْلَمْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ

“Dan ketahuilah bahwa Allah Maha Perkasa lagi Maha Bijaksana.”

Dia Maha Perkasa, tidak ada yang mampu mengalahkan-Nya. Dia Maha Perkasa, tidak ada yang mampu mencega kehendak-Nya. Dan Dia Maha Bijaksana dalam firman dan tindakan-Nya.

Penutup

Mudah-mudahan rangkaian lima kisah ini dapat melembutkan hati kita untuk semakin tunduk kepada Allah ﷻ. Dia telah memberikan pengajaran bahwa Dia Maha Kuasa lagi memiliki kemampuan sempurna.

Dia mampu menghidupkan kaum yang telah mati. Menghidupkan kota hingga makmur kembali. Juga menghidupkan burung dengan cara yang luar biasa. Semoga Allah memberi taufik kepada kita semua untuk beramal bersiap menjemput hari berbangkit.
