Steemit Photo Challenge #15 - WTF
What is the point in being respectful?

Firstly, congratulations to the winners of Challenge 15. There are some seriously good snappers in the Steemit community. Like all art, photography is very subjective and we all react in our own ways ... thank goodness!

My favourite is by @okkiedot because ... I can happily hang it on my wall and I very much like the composition.

But ... and here is the beef. The topic was not spiders or webs or anything of the sort. It was 'Mystery'. Then it was changed. The example given:

We are all allowed to change our minds and I have no problem with that. We should be more open than we are to being proven imperfect!!

But ... when you do change your mind, it is normal to evaluate the consequences and act accordingly. Or is this just too old-fashioned? My submission simply got 'pulled' and the reason: "low ratings" ... perhaps "low ratings" is a euphemism.

I wrote a few posts, as below:

Am I the only person to have submitted a 'mystery' photograph? If so, good, because I win! All those cobwebs ... this is a much better theme! I am still unsure as to why my entry was 'pulled'! Please let me know. Many thanks.

Excuse me @elewarne, could you let me know why ... ?

and this to @jamtaylor :

Thank you for the update, I posted a photo as soon as I saw the theme - Mystery with an example included! My post got pulled due to lack of traffic or something. How do you get to win when you have been pulled and the theme has been changed? Traffic tough from where I sit, votes even harder!!

Still no response has been received. The organisers managed to find the resources to create a montage of the competition and a visual, encompassing the entries:

In about 20 seconds they could have written this:
"We are sorry, our guest judge has decided upon a different theme for Challenge No. 15. Thank you for your submission. May we encourage you to send in a spider's web."

So, 'maitai' say thank you for the work you put in to the challenges @randyclemens, @jamtaylor and @berniesanders but tidy up after a mess!

As for @elewarne ... grow some manners. I am fed up with being nice to people with absent standards of behaviour. It is simply not worth it.

This post is not designed to be divisive or detrimental in any way. It is designed to add value to the Steemit community. I do hope I have succeeded in this and for any offence caused, I can only offer my sincere apologies, @elewarne included.

Please point the corners of your mouth towards your ears and share some Lava!

I shall move along to No. 16, with gusto ... shall we?
