There is a lot to post about, I need to work on a dCity post or two for this upcoming week. But most of my computer time right now is dedicated to massaging my portfolio - [As I announced yesterday](), we are going ahead with the purchase of half ownership of an operating hotel and any tokens we don't sell in the presale I am preparing myself to buy. Now the key with squeezing value out of a portfolio as notorious illiquid as hive-engine tokens and pools are - is not to lose patience even when you feel in a hurry. Now is the time you need patience the most. I'll give an example, as I have slowly been hedging out of XCHAOS, a legacy token that I [already made huge profits on.](https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@ecoinstant/i-paid-082-hive-for-chaos-packs-let-me-show-you-how-i-did-it), long story short, I bought XCHAOS for 1.8 hive, sold the CHAOS packs for 3.5 HIVE and have been selling XCHAOS between 0.7 and 1 HIVE each. In the meantime earning DEC drips all the way. The key to this trade? Patience. Last night an inpatient fellow bought XCHAOS from me for 0.7, and then probably realized they were not CHAOS packs, immediately sold them back at 0.54 HIVE. I am not currently buying the dip on XCHAOS, but originally was doing just that, sold some for 1 hive one week and bought back at 0.4 the next. Providing liquidity for the market profitably is just a game of being more patient than the next guy (and the 100 after that). Let's take a look at AFIT. This is a good closed trade where I used really good fundamentals to trade, read the first backgrounder post [here](https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@ecoinstant/actifit-afit-pulling-a-cub). Of course no @leo.voter vote for using the phrase 'pulling a CUB', even though I just meant 'moving to BSC'. Those guys are surely sensitive about their token schemes, and there has been a lot of discussion recently about the questionable use of @leo.voter - I have gotten small visits from it before on some of my posts, but still I can hardly be bothered to use the leofinance.io front end. Maybe if they could compete with peakd interface I would consider it, but for a one third chance at a 7 dollar vote of which I will see 3.5 - rather just keep my workflow. Anyway - back to AFIT. https://images.hive.blog/0x0/https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/ecoinstant/Enyo5HkRWDrGSvNeGdZCtiV8Db2XuUu2moqyYHPirVTmsae6VbGu1SzFbonW3aWhtCD.png I posted this update as a comment on my post, yesterday I sold 10% of my stack for another 10 HIVE in profit. I am free wheeling 18k AFIT still, and no matter what happens I cannot 'lose' money. Today the price has dropped by 30% again, wish I had sold more but no one can read the future - all we can control is our responses to the very natural emotional reactions of FOMO and FUD. Here's a chart I found on twitter: These same emotions happen to everyone, no matter how much discipline or experience you have. Its just about how you respond to them that matters. I will keep repeating my advise - as long as you have done your research and implemented position sizing - have patience. Hive-Engine has provided me with a great opportunity in the past several years, and its especially a great time when HIVE dips, like now. [Take a look at this post](https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@ecoinstant/hive-pumps-are-a-good-time-to-think-about-hive-engine-projects) from last September about how HIVE pumps are great time to buy into Hive-Engine projects. What do you think we should be doing when HIVE dips? Some tokens with no backing get dragged down with HIVE dips too, but naturally prices of solid token projects priced in HIVE will go up during HIVE dips. If we can manage to take and hold profits in HIVE, we are in a good place for the next HIVE pump. Patience is key because these things naturally can never happen at the same time. Its playing out the strategy over time that leads to success. Let's not forget about SEED - it has been raining FITFI tokens over there - with a huge boost in NAV value to the SEED fund. With a HIVE price dip in USD terms, what's the next move to do with SEED? Again there is no magic ball. I eagerly await @empoderat's updates each week, and follow the [swap pool]() closely and take my profits when I estimate the price is too high, and buy back when I notice the price is too low. What a fun game markets can be, if we just have enough patience to resist the same old FOMO and FUD cycles that are seen in every single project. I am also hoping that I can get him to look into our [ECOBANK](https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@ecoinstant/the-final-ecobank-presale-announcment) project. Since he also speaks spanish, I am hoping to have an investor who can also analyze and understand the spanish material we are producing and will be producing over time while running this project. Even just his feedback would be very valuable. And... he wants to diversify so what better than ECOBANK?! And sometimes we can take risks too, grabbing a so-called 'moonbag'. On the more personal and speculative side, I have recently become the top staker of PAL tokens. I did this for less than 300 dollars. Why? I'm not sure.... PAL seems like a dead tribe but maybe it really isn't, there are a ton of hardcore PALer's. Time will tell if this was a good idea or not, but sometimes we need to think about some moonbags! Top whale for the price of a nice weekend, seems like a good deal for me. I now have more staked PAL than @aggroed!! Bwahahaha. Maybe I overpaid, but only time and my patience will tell. All they have to do is pull an ActiFit and I'm flying high.... And do USD values even matter? When taking profit in HIVE, they do not!! That's all from me for today, happy trading, let's all try to be smarter each and every cycle, in this way our community grows stronger and stays longer. Help the noobs, shill on twitter, look into new projects - AND KEEP POSTING! ## Freedom and Friendship
