The city of Qingdao, on the east coast of China, set a new Guinness record by achieving the highest concentration of dancers robots, in which more than a thousand automatons.

A total of 1,040 nearly identical robots, about 40 centimeters tall and humanoid appearance, were placed in a 1,007 square where they managed to dance to music for more than a minute on Saturday afternoon.

Although not all completed the mission and some fell or stopped, was enough to beat the previous record, which also had a Chinese city (Shenzhen in the south of the country) with 540 robots had danced together last February.

Automats new record were produced by local firm Ever Win, whose engineer Jinyou Quan said that the main difficulty of the challenge was to avoid interference from radio waves through which it was ordered to dance to the machines.

The proliferation of mobile and Bluetooth devices affects those radio frequencies, something the company has resolved its own encryption systems signals.
