Las flores de las plantas de trinitarias,una flor muy llamativas, que poseen espinas y son utilizadas tanto para adornar jardines como también para realizar cercas como medidas de seguridad  en las casas, ya que poseen filosas espinas.

Muchas personas dicen, que las flores de esta planta poseen muchas propiedades medicinales, sirviendo está para las vías respiratorias la tos,bronquitis asma y gripe. Las flores se hererven eln agua durante 5 minutos y luego cuando el agua este fresca se procede a tomar como si fuese un té.
Tambien son utilizadas como diurético  purificación de la sangre y depurativa.

Sus flores hermafroditas son tubulares y de colores variables como: blancas,moradas,  amarillas,rojas.
