Some few steps I learnt on my own that can help new crypto learners
If you're new to cryptocurrency, understanding key terms will help you navigate the space more effectively. Here are some essential terms every crypto beginner should know:


Step 1: Basic Blockchain & Crypto Terms**  **Blockchain** A decentralized digital ledger that records transactions across many computers. 
 
**Cryptocurrency** Digital or virtual currency secured by cryptography (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum).

**Bitcoin (BTC)** The first and most well-known cryptocurrency. 
 
**Altcoin** Any cryptocurrency other than Bitcoin (e.g., Ethereum, Solana, Dogecoin).  
Token** A digital asset built on an existing blockchain (e.g., ERC-20 tokens on Ethereum).

Step 2: Wallet & Security Terms**  
**Wallet**A digital tool to store, send, and receive crypto (Hot wallet = online, Cold wallet = offline). 

 **Private Key** A secret code that allows access to your crypto (never share it!).
Public Key/Address– A shareable wallet address to receive crypto. 
 
**Seed Phrase** A backup phrase (usually 12-24 words) to restore a wallet.  

Step 3: Trading & Investment Terms** 
 **Exchange** A platform to buy, sell, and trade crypto (e.g., Binance, Coinbase). 
 
**Fiat** Traditional government-issued currency (e.g., USD, EUR).
 
 **Market Cap**  Total value of a cryptocurrency (Price × Circulating Supply).  

-**Liquidity** How easily an asset can be bought/sold without affecting its price. 

- **Bull Market** – Rising prices, optimism.  
- **Bear Market** – Falling prices, pessimism.

Step 4: Transaction & Network Terms**  
 **Gas Fee** Transaction cost on networks like Ethereum.  

 **Smart Contract** Self-executing contracts with predefined rules (used in DeFi & NFTs).
  
**Confirmation**  Validation of a transaction on the blockchain.


Step 5: DeFi (Decentralized Finance) Terms**  
 **DeFi**  Financial services without intermediaries (e.g., lending, trading on blockchain).  

**Staking** Locking up crypto to support a network and earn rewards. 
 
**Yield Farming** Earning rewards by providing liquidity to DeFi protocols. 
 
 **APY (Annual Percentage Yield)**  Estimated yearly earnings from staking or lending.  


Step 6: NFT & Web3 Terms**  
 **NFT (Non-Fungible Token)**  Unique digital assets (e.g., art, collectibles).  

 **Web3** The next-gen internet powered by blockchain and decentralization.

Step7: Risks & Scams**  

 **Rug Pull** A scam where developers reject a project after taking investors' money. 
 
 **FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt)**  Negative sentiment causing price drops.  

-**DYOR (Do Your Own Research)**  Always research before investment
