I remember someone once asked me why I sometimes skip days in between posting on my blog when I had autovotes no matter what I posted.
I remembered a line from Tobey Macguire's spiderman "with great powers come great responsibilities." That is an absolute truth.

The first thing I usually ask myself is what do my followers expect of me each time I write? I follow it up by asking myself what becomes of my principles when I write what I feel is beneath my standard. Yes! I have my own standards in writing.  Over a year plus as an active curator taught me that there is joy is dishing out quality.

Over the span of some months, I've explored options as regard the different aspects of blogging. From vlogging (which is fun but not easy) to even a touch of micro blogging. To me, nothing beats normal blogging in my books. Although that is a personal opinion, I wish to say blogging feels like a part of me. The fun part is when your audience can actually connect.

When the def challenge came up (def meaning deatinysaid, ehiboss and fisteganos), I saw it as an opportunity to explore other tags, namely the photography tag. Now, had it been some people other than them had proposed the idea, I would have refused because I know it might end up as a ploy.

However, from my interaction with their content, I've been pleased so far, it took weeks of careful planning and setting up rules to bring out the quality in that to get us to even agree to do it (maybe we just want to see who's the better photographer...lol). For the next 14 days, we'll still put out our photographic content and try to get our audience to relate with it.

Back to what I was saying, the reason why I sometimes go without posting for days is simple. My boss is my friend and I wouldn't intentionally sabotage that trust. He is a quiet but observant person and that matters a lot. Also, I prefer to hold onto my principles rather than just post just about anything. Writing is fun, be a good writer, don't abuse writing.
