The record release party for the Hex Wrecker is going to be held at my boy's house on July 7th in the southeast area of Portland, Oregon. I had originally planned it for today, since the album was supposed to release on the summer solstice (yesterday), however the tracks were not completely done being mastered yet, hence the date change.  A few performers had to drop out due to the date change, but the reality is that everyone involved needed more time for planning, even me.

I have already received pre-masters that I have been sound testing on different audio systems, like my studio monitor headphones, and the stereo I recently installed in my car, but have yet to test the tracks on a home theater system, as I have been too busy doing everything else. 

The other day I tried to print fliers for the party, and failed miserably (<a href="https://steemit.com/hip-hop/@elamental/i-could-not-print-my-release-party-fliers-but-my-new-car-stereo-is-saweeeeet">article about that here</a>). I was however finally able to accomplish this feat today, and I can now present them here for your viewing pleasure:

I decided to use all four color variants on the fliers, 25 of each, for a total of 100 fliers. I am only printing a limited amount of these since I only want to give them to people I connect with. In other words, I am not just going to hand a flyer to every person I see, as I do not want a bunch of randos to show up to the party that could potentially cause problems.

Tomorrow @hempress and I are attending an event downtown under the *St. John's Bridge* to find the right folks to distribute these fliers to. This is the 12th consecutive year this event has been happening, and is historically a full day of "dancing and playing in the sunshine underneath the mighty bridge, and we can expect excellent sound, a bunch of Portland's finest DJs, beautiful art installations, surprise performances, dogs, kiddos, great vibes, and a wonderful group of people", according to the event page on *Facebook*, <a href="https://www.facebook.com/events/2077525515843851/">event page link</a>. 

This will be our first year attending, and we are looking forward to it, however the event also happens falls on the day of *Portland's Naked Bike Ride*, and there is expected to more than 10,000 people riding, as this year it is the national version of the bike ride, according to Portland's KATU news. Hopefully traffic will not be too terrible, I can hope right?

<center>ALBUM RELEASE AND DISTRIBUTION</center>

There is still not an exact date for the release, although I would guess it will be sometime within the next week. I still have no idea whether I will have my custom flash drives or website ready in time for the record release party, but I will at have it up on *Soundcloud*, *Dsound*, and have business cards with my *Soundcloud* & Dsound links to download my album on it at the very least.

I also have plans to release some of my album's tracks on *Itunes* and on Spotify with the help of @ftlob, but not the entire album. Additionally I have purchased the domain name for my website http://www.elamentalemcee.com, and have started to begin the process of producing vinyl and flash drive copies of *The Hex Wrecker*, but it may be a while before those concepts manifest completely.

<center>RECORDING THE RELEASE PARTY</center>

In addition to recording each individual performance, and getting a video walk-through of the party at its peak, I hope to find a second camera capable of streaming the entire show on *Dlive*, so even those that don't live in the area can experience the show if they would like.

I also want to take a couple of video interviews with some of the vendors and fire spinners in the back yard. I hope to give people the most comprehensive remote viewing of the event as possible.

<center>SETTING THE VIBES</center>

The house has been filled with live jam sessions in the basement for the entire month of June, ever since *Summer* arrived and crashed here (Summer the person, not the season). This is the same basement that I will be hosting the record release party in, so I am grateful that there is the right kind of musical passion and energy flowing through those walls all month before the party. I think its safe to say the house is feeling the vibes in anticipation of my event. 

When I saw Summer and my other buddy jammin' on the front porch for a change today, I started recording a video of them playing when I meant to take a picture, so I just let it ride, click pic below to play:

It is not too often that we have other musicians around jamming so much, so I feel like it is the universe casting those cords my way helping ease me into this new dimension I am about to become a part of. Here is the photo I meant to take with *Groundscore* in there too.
