Dear Steemians!

In this picture I would like to show you a medium-hot red pepper (Capsicum). This plant belongs to the nightshade family (Solanaceae). The origin of the pepper plant is central as well as South America, and there are some different varieties that have now been cultivated almost worldwide. Peppers have low calories and high levels of healthy ingredients such as potassium, zinc, calcium and magnesium, as well as vitamins. 

Peppers are diverse and can be used in various ways, for example as a spice or in addtion to a food or salad. There are several types with different sharpness from sweet to very sharp, and the sharpness is measured by the Scoville scale.
