Hey everyone, I hope you had a weekend that brought some interesting experiences into your life! Today I have decided to share something about an experience I made in Salzburg and who knows, maybe I can even motivate one or the other to visit this cultural place. The Domquatier is located in the heart of the old town of Salzburg and the history of its origin can be traced back to the Middle Ages and over the centuries, it was inhabited by various influential personalities. I was very surprised how big the whole complex is and DomQuartier is a kind of collective name for the residence as well as the religious part that belongs to it and visitors should in any case remember to bring a lot of time and in addition to the always accessible areas, there was also a special exhibition in which paintings by the painter Hubert Sattler (1817 - 1904) were exhibited. If you want to visit everything in detail, I would recommend planning at least three hours of time and here too, it's important to mention that it's included in the Salzburg Card and visitors who should pay the full price of about 15€ should know that this price is really reasonable and fair and also it was one of the sights that were not so crowded, so you save yourself the long queueing at the ticket shop. The special exhibition of Hubert Sattler will probably not be open at the current time, but they will change the exhibitions and if you want to know more about what is currently on offer, you should find out more about it beforehand or simply let yourself be surprised, which is never wrong. I almost missed the special exhibition and whoever passes the room in which they take place should enter it right away, if the hallway went on it can easily be missed and there is no way back then. In the course of time, the DomQuartier was often rebuilt and adapted by various owners again and again and the entire complex is kept in the baroque style, but traces of other eras can also be found here and the tour in the building is very interesting and diversely designed and there is something for pretty much everyone. Visitors can learn a lot about the history of the building and especially those who are interested in art will get their money's worth here and it's no wonder that the well-known composer Mozart once played concerts here! The tour later also leads visitors to a viewing platform from which the beauty of the old town can be seen and of course there is also an access to the cathedral which can also be viewed from above and shortly afterwards, I arrived at a museum in which more about the history of the cathedral was noted. I must have taken 300 pictures there which of course I can not share all but I hope that these offer a foretaste of what is offered there and who should be in Salzburg, should not miss to visit this historical complex or cultural complex. Many thanks for the visit and I hope you could learn something new about this place! I captured these pictures with my Sony Alpha 6000 plus 55-210 mm lens.
