Good evening to all steemians and welcome to anothat edition of sunday word of comfort tagged **_Heart of thanks giving_**.
I apologise for not been able to post on sunday word of comfort last week sunday it was due to stress and tiredness from my friend's wedding ceremony.
# What Is Thanksgiving?
The act of giving thanks; grateful acknowledgment of benefits or favors, especially to God. It can also be said to be an expression of thanks, especially to God.
# How Should We Give Thanks
There are numerous ways we can show appreciation to God for his works in our life, but i will want us to take a look at psalm 150 
>1Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.Praise ye…: Heb. Hallelujah
>2Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.
3Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. trumpet: or, cornet
4Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.dance: or, pipe
5Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.
6Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.

# When should we thank the lord?
Thanking God should be a constant thing to all believers, in any situation and time both in good and in bad we should learn to thank God at all time it makes the do more. 
God works in divers ways and his ways are not our ways his plans are not our plans, remember at the end of every tunnel the is always light, So thank God for the fact that you are still alive passing through the tunnel of life, for many are dead and wish to be in your situation.
# power Of Thanks giving
Thanks giving brings about perfection and fulfilment of the promise of God in your life.
In luke 17 Jesus healed ten lepers.
>12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:
13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.
15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?
18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

Ten was healed but only one was made whole because he came back to give thanks.
# In Conclusion
We should only thank God when things are smooth and well we should learn to thank God in hardship and tribulations.
