>**It happened the following year, at the time kings go to war, that David sent Joab, and with him his servants and all Israel, and they destroyed the Ammonites, and besieged Rabbah; but David stayed in Jerusalem.
2 And it happened one day, in the evening, that David got up from his bed and was walking on the roof of the royal house; and he saw from the roof a woman who was bathing, who was very beautiful.
3 David sent to inquire after the woman, and they said to him, "She is Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite."
4 And David sent messengers, and took it; and she came to him, and he slept with her. Then she purified herself of her uncleanness, and went home.
5 And the woman conceived, and sent to let David know, saying, I am with child. 2 Samuel 11: 1-5 King James Version (KJV)**

This is not to say that we will never fail, because otherwise we can make God a liar. In every human being, there are many weaknesses, which makes us prone to sin. We always make mistakes and fail God, no matter what condition or ministry you may be exercising before God. The Lord knows our weaknesses and gives us the opportunity to get up when we fall.
#
Failing before God or any other person is human, but having the will and the ability to get up when we fall, implies courage to continue our career before God and enjoy the joy of his forgiveness.
#
King David went through this very bitter situation. David was the leader of the people of Israel, the moral and spiritual man before God, however, David slipped in God's law to fail and sin by committing adultery with the wife of one of his warrior men who fought a war while David was He was sleeping with his wife Bathsheba.
#
This sin of David brought him a spiritual defeat, in which God marked him guilty of his error and his wickedness.
As much as David tried to hide this sin from God, his emotional life was getting sick and David felt spiritually that he was losing the joy of salvation.
#
King David was heartbroken and ill. Very dejected and saddened before God for his great wickedness. God sent the prophet Nathan to warn him and make him see his wickedness and error in which he had fallen.
#
The prophet admonished him with the word of God:

#

>**9 Why then did you despise the word of Jehovah, doing evil in his sight? You struck Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and took his wife to wife, and killed him with the sword of the Ammonites.
10 For this reason the sword will never depart from your house now, because you despised me and took the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.
11 Thus says the Lord: Behold, I will cause evil to rise up on you from your own house, and will take your wives before your eyes, and give them to your neighbor, who will lie with your wives in the sight of the sun.
12 Because you did it in secret; but I will do this in front of all Israel and in full sun.
13 Then David said to Nathan, "I have sinned against the Lord." And Nathan said to David, The Lord also has put away your sin; you will not die.
14 But because with this matter you made the enemies of Jehovah blaspheme, the child that has been born to you will surely die. 2 Samuel 12: 9-12 King James Version (KJV)**
#
David repented of his wickedness and God redeemed him from his sin. David rose from the moral and spiritual condition of defeat into which he had fallen. David understood that he was down on the ground and that it was necessary to get up with God's mercy and love.
#
Do not spend your whole life punishing your awareness of your mistake, get up and trust in the love and forgiveness of God for a new opportunity for success in your life.
#
When David arose from his error, he became from that moment until the end of his career as king, the man with a perfect heart before God.
#
We must learn that it is not about never failing, but about getting up when we fall. God will have his arms open to forgive you and show you the way to success and ministerial prosperity.
