Marriage plays a fundamental role in society and is the powerful basis of the family for the fulfillment of the order God had given Adam and Eve to multiply and fill the earth. # It is a mandate from God that man and woman maintain a stable relationship under the wonderful bond of love and sealed with marriage. However, in society, marriage lives in constant threat of adultery, or failing that, the man or woman agree to keep couple relationships away from the unity of marriage, which constitutes a relationship of fornication. # So, we ask ourselves: What is the difference between adultery and fornication? # The sexual relationship between a married person and someone who is not your partner constitutes adultery. # The ten commandments contain the prohibition of adultery: "You shall not commit adultery" (Ex. 20:14). The reason is simple: marriage is the basis of society and is accompanied by the responsibility of raising children. Fortuitous extramarital relationships not only jeopardize marriage, but also destroy the paternal and maternal feelings of children and eclipse family ties. # Fornication is sex between two people who are not married. The apostle Paul said that this constitutes a sin against the body. He recommends that Christians flee fornication as a sin against God and against ourselves, because the body of believers is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor 6: 18-19). Paul says that if a believer joins his body to that of a harlot (or someone immoral) he will join Jesus Christ with that person (1 Cor 6: 15-16). # It is very important to know that neither fornicators nor adulterers will enter the Kingdom of heaven (1 Cor 6: 9-10). In today's world, the term fornication is rarely used and immoralities among single people are commonly accepted as part of the modern way of life. But immorality, although common, is a sin that will deprive millions of salvation, unless they repent. # </div>
