**Why do people suffer tribulations (Part 5 of 6) | The Old Path**

The problem is that we have lost natural affection and love for others. According to the Bible, this explains the hardships being encountered in our times by the poor. We live in a world where there is a fair distribution of resources. If there are not many greedy people on earth, others will have opportunities also to earn,
to live only a simple way of life, without being hungry or without being naked.

But the reality shows to us that it cannot happen, and it will not happen because of man's greed. But there is a hope. The Lord Jesus Christ guaranteed Christians be of good cheer, because He had overcome the world. In spite of tribulations, we must only continue hoping and trusting on God and He will not leave us alone. With the help of the Lord Jesus Christ, we can overcome all these hardships.

We just have to continue praying. If we are only going to continue in faith, in spite of all these tribulations and hardships in life. The bible tells us the story of a poor man called Lazarus and the story of so many poor Christians in the first century who have died poor. But they did not lose hope because they are looking forward to that promise of the Lord in the new heaven and in the new earth.

Even if we die poor here, or we die of hunger, there is a consolation in advance, knowing that there will be a resurrection of the dead and the poor will be blessed.
