There are many in the church who are of the view that God loves them more than all other members of the church and or that they are holier than all others especially those who came to Christ later than they did, probably because they believe Christianity is about first come first serve or that heaven deals with familiarity. Or perhaps because they have known God for long they deserve more than all others; however, our scripture teaches us otherwise this is because the love of God for mankind is not that of nepotism, once you believe in him and accept to change your ways and be his son or daughter that is it, you deserve equal pay and respect as much as those that have been in the system for long hours.

As Christians we are to show equal love to all, both friendly and foe and we are not to see ourselves as superior to other humans as God created as equal and such must be respected so. It is my prayer today that the good Lord will enlighten the church and parishioners that we may be free of this false notion and rather help build the church by bringing other to God.
