The Hive blockchain have numerous of users that have different reputation attached to their name in the blockchain. This reputation increases as individuals get upvoted from post they publish in the platform.

It is quite known that the reputation increases faster as a newbie when contributing to the blockchain newly with such reputation starting with 25 rep. Then at some point it becomes harder to increase when the reputation is higher so to achieve a new rep definitely takes a long time to increase which I believe moves slowing unlike when starting as a newbie.

Though I really don't know how the reputation works but do to the little I have observe it takes a little while to increase to achieve a new rep. My intention of writing this post have kept me wondering if the reputation actually brings respect to individuals in the blockchain. We have People who have been here for a long time that have spent 5 to 6 on the blockchain that I believe have gain a lot more experience in the blockchain with their consistency likewise having people who have been here for a long time but dont show such consistency.

I believe is not by how many years spent deserves respect but what such individual have to offer that is beneficial for others to grow and gain is worth the achievement. The years spent and the reputation I believe is numbers, if we can agree in that aspect because I believe we have awesome people on the blockchain that haven't spent such years but have done really well in the blockchain with their special skills and consistency to build their rep and account to grow.

It is not how far but how well because we are totally different with how we engage and show our seriousness in the blockchain that add value to others which is very important in dragging people's attention with what you have to offer that is beneficial. In some point having a higher rep deserves respect because it definitely a work well-done to achieve such especially those that varies from 70 and above really means it takes hardwork to get there.

Though I might say reputation doesn't matter but it is a sign of progress in the blockchain achieving such in appreciating your efforts in a positive way. We are all entitled to our own opinion on such issue and I will be glad to hear other people's point of view on this.
