Hey Hivers, in Venezuela when the car crashes we mechanically say: "The car dumped me" haha

 It was a normal day and we got ready to go out to buy some things for my daughter's graduation, from the country where we live to the city is approximately 45 minutes.  We hadn't rolled for 20 minutes when the timing belt snapped and we had to settle into a shadow until we figured out what to do.  Towing services around here are almost nil and to top it all the phone signal is terrible.


 I took a deep breath haha ​​and said let's wait and stay calm, because despairing does not solve anything.  Luckily, a friend's call managed to get in and I quickly told him what had happened, he called a mechanic who promised that he would come to the place and never came, later we found out that the car also left him without gasoline.  XD was not my lucky day!

Hey Hivers, en Venezuela cuando el carro se accidenta mecanimaente decimos: " El carro me dejó botado" jaja

Era un día normal y nos preparamos para salir a comprar algunas cosas para la graduación de mi hija, del campo donde vivimos a la ciudad son 45 minutos aproximadamente. No habíamos rodado ni 20 minutos cuando la correa de tiempo se partió y tuvimos que acomodarnos en una sombra hasta ver qué resolver. Los servicios de grúa por aquí son casi nulos y para colmo la señal telefónica es pésima. 


Respiré profundamente jaja y dije vamos a esperar y mantener la calma, porque con desesperarnos no se resuelve nada. Por suerte logró entrar la llamada de un amigo y le conté rápidamente lo sucedido, el llamo a un mecánico que prometió que vendría al lugar y nunca llegó, más tarde nos enteramos que el carro también lo dejó botado sin gasolina. XD  no era mi día de suerte!

The next solution was to ask local people where to get a mechanic.  They told me that 15 minutes away there was one that was the one that always helps people who are injured on the road.  I told my family to be aware that I was already returning with a mechanic.


>La próxima solución fue preguntar a las personas del lugar, dónde conseguir un mecánico. Me indicaron que a 15 minutos de camino se encontraba uno que era el que siempre auxilia a las personas que quedan accidentadas en la vía. Le dije a mi familia que estuvieran pendientes que ya regresaba con un mecánico.

Luckily I found him and explained what happened, I thought the solution would be easy because the boy who sold me the car told me that the engine did not bend valves, as it had a spare belt, I thought, it is changed and we continue.  To our surprise, the belt was changed, the time was synchronized and when I turned it on, the vehicle made explosives.  Then the mechanic removed the valve cover and realized that 4 valves were bent.  How awful!  I thought.

>Por suerte lo encontré y le expliqué lo sucedido, pensé que la solución sería fácil porque el chico que me vendió el carro me dijo que el motor no doblaba válvulas, como tenía correa de respuesto pensé, ésta se cambia y seguimos. Para sorpresa nuestra, se hizo el cambio de correa, se sincronizó el tiempo y cuando le dí encender, el vehículo hizo explosivos. Entonces el mecánico quita el tapa válvulas y se dió cuenta que 4 válvulas estaban dobladas. Que horror! Pensé.

We had to leave the car there until we got all the parts the following days.  It is not easy to get spare parts, depending on the vehicle we have.  Thanks that this model (Daewoo Tacuma 2.0) is similar to other car brands such as the Limit Optra.  Take the damaged parts as a sample and when compared with those of the Chevrolet Optra, they matched.

 Spending on spare parts was $ 50 and labor was $ 80, which seemed extreme to me but that's how we are here in Venezuela, there is no price control, everyone makes and charges as they see fit.  Of course, due to my lack of experience that happened to me because I had to check the price first.  But also when one walks with the family, try to solve as soon as possible because there is a danger of robberies on the road and they are also dangerous roads because cars go by at high speed.  There is no control!


>Tuvimos que dejar el carro ahí hasta conseguir todos los respuestos los siguientes días. No es nada fácil conseguir respuestos, dependiendo del vehículo que tengamos. Gracias que éste modelo ( Daewoo Tacuma 2.0) es similar a otras marcas de carro como por ejemplo el Optra límite. Lleve los respuestos dañados como muestra y al compararlos con los del Chevrolet Optra, coincidieron.

>El gasto en repuestos fue de 50 dólares y la mano de obra fue 80$, cosa que me pareció un extremo pero así estamos aquí en Venezuela, no hay control de precios, todo mundo hace y cobra como mejor le parece. Claro por mi falta de experiencia me pasó eso porque debí consultar precio primero. Pero también cuando uno anda con la familia trata de resolver lo más antes posible porque hay peligro de robos en la vía y también son vías peligrosas porque los carros pasan a gran velocidad. No hay control!

Finally I went to remove the car and I did not realize on the scoreboard that the mechanic had extracted almost all the fuel, with the lack of gasoline in the country the bad habit is evident.  When I got home, the car turned off and I thought it was bad.

 Anyway, I thought that this was the consequence of that bad day and that the best days were yet to come.  As a friend says: Serenity and patience hahaha.

>Finalmente fui a retirar el carro y no me di cuenta en el marcador que en el taller mecánico habían extraído casi todo el combustible, con la falta de gasolina en el país la mala costumbre se hace patente. Llegando a casa el carro se me apagó y pensé que había quedado mal. 

>De todos modos pensé que ésto era consecuencias de aquel mal día y que los días mejores estaban por venir. Cómo dice un amigo: Serenidad y paciencia jajaja.
