It looks very much like a Grasshopper except that when it opens the wings, you will notice a reddish body. 

One of the persons around me then suggested that the little insect may be a blood sucking type because of the red color, I couldn't hold back a heavy laughter 😂. I went close to the insect, hoping to have my blood sucked by it but the little fellow was scared 😂. 

Have you seen this type of insect before? What does it have in common with Grasshoppers?
