Starting out something new is never easy, and is quite unpredictable. Which is why most of us just copy what has been laid before us and proven to work in hindsight. Taking risks is not the thrill some People make it out to seem.

This is because taking risks have consequences attached to failing. There is quite a hefty sum to pay for failing at something from material costs to psychological and emotional costs. Therefore many of us will rather not try than to try and fail.

Still, some people have been brave enough to dare where Others feared and have been greatly rewarded. Certain people are more motivated by the potential rewards than the risks associated with potential losses and venture out into the unknown with successful results.

Crypto is as risky as it comes, and many people are aware of this, therefore they would rather not bother trying. Not just from an individual perspective though with the launch of new tokens, but the technology itself is new and unique and we have literally not seen something like it before.

Hence anyone venturing into this space this early is a scapegoat. This was even more true a couple of years ago, as one can appreciate the progress and acceptance that has finally accompanied this experiment. Individuals and institutions have decided to put their assets and some have already been rewarded handsomely.

The one that excites me most though is governments. Very few governments have embraced crypto in its entirety. The ones that have to an extent are trying to completely change what the technology means to us. Decentralisation, transparency and freedom was the promise of blockchain, and these qualities must hold true for it to succeed.

# Hail El Salvador
One nation seems to have done that, being El-Salvador. This tiny nation has threaded where other feared and are being watched keenly by other nations to see the potential consequences. Of course the naysayers have loaded (and still talk about) the consequences of a potential failure including economic collapse. However, you can be rest assured that this nation would potentially be a future powerhouse should this decision to embrace blockchain technology wholeheartedly (at least so it seems) succeed.

# Conclusion
The way I see it, the biggest risk comes from not taking any risks. Crypto is here to stay but may tokens/projects will fail for sure. However, that should hardly prevent us from trying with a revolutionary technology that is set to transform the way we do things. Surely the potential rewards from being right on this are too good to pass up.
