So few days ago I saw these state environmental workers come with their truck to clean up the gutters, which have been clogged with a lot of wastes from people throwing so much dirt into the gutters, instead of disposing them properly in waste bins. These workers try their best to clean up the streets and even sweep the major roads, I've ran into them most times while going to work. But after each time, these place go back to their usual littered and unkept situation, which is not encouraging at all. Most people might think, since there are people whose jobs are to clean up dirt why should they bother doing it themselves. 

Thinking this way might hinder people from actually doing the right things they are supposed to do to keep the environment in good conditions. Truthfully, it is nobody's job to clean the planet. If we are to live by that logic, then we'll get nothing done. The responsibility lies on the shoulder of each one of us, so we get to decide if were going to take  are of it or leave it to some other people.

Looking at how their shop space was messy this morning when I came out, I needed no soothsayer to tell me what I had to do. We've been having a lot of customers coming in and going out recently because of the festive season. They come and eat snacks and take their sachet water and leave the wraps lying around. Picking them up wasn't a big deal anyway. It's better when it's organized and keep in a closed bin, living the entire space free from clutter and mess so we can actually breathe in some fresh air and also people can be free to also walk in without disgust written on their faces.
