From a Christian perspective, the body of man is considered as “a temple” and not just any temple, but God's temple. By default it is supposed to be respected, honored, and kept holy. All of us know how special a temple is in our different religions. Everything in it is considered sacred and tampering with any tool in it is not allowed unless it is mandatory. The truth is we own our bodies and by law, anything owned by us is completely subject to us. We can do anything with it anytime we want. Our bodies and every member in it belongs to us, we can equally use it however we want. Nevertheless, the human body is created with uniqueness and it seems to be different from everything else we possess. Although, our bodies are ours, the law and our religions forbids using them in certain ways and one of those ways is selling our organs. The human body and each part or organ in it is special in the way that there is no replication, once they are used or gone, they do not have the ability to regenerate. There are certain organs that come in pairs and somehow we can survive even if the other isn't available, an example is the kidney. But that does not mean that we can do just anything with the other simply because we can survive on one. But humans will always be humans, I have heard and read of people who trade some of their body organs willingly for money. The common one is the kidney, to some people it is a cool way of making money. Most times I wonder about the kind of pressure that brought that idea to them. I know surviving is difficult nowadays but seriously anything that would make us sell our organs in order to make ends meet is questionable. You all will agree with me that something is wrong with our world, naturally, I know that there is nothing we love more than our own selves, that is why we are doing anything possible to protect our bodies and keep them fit. But people are no longer scared to hurt themselves and limit their health, that's a serious sign of malady. For me, any money we generate by selling any part of our bodies, organs, cells or anything at all, is blood money and we ought to avoid such. **Am I saying there is no situation at all when we can give out our organs?** No, there are many situations when we can give our organs and it will be lawful, for instance, donating blood, kidney and so on, to save a life. It is even a blessing as long as it is done with a good intention and not for a business purpose. But selling organs doesn't make sense, it is first of all a disrespect to our bodies and to the one who created us. I know that life is difficult but under no circumstance should we sell our organs. We may receive a lot of money but will it be worth the risk? If it's not the work of charity no one should tamper with anything in or on their bodies for financial gains, there are many jobs out there, simply find one and make a living out of it. ------- N.B: All Images Were Generated By Gemini AI -------

Thanks For Reading
