Thoughts on the Soft Fork (v0.22.2)
After ten days of work of multiple people including top witnesses, community members, and some stakeholders, we have successfully rolled out the new soft fork yesterday. If you haven't seen the announcement post, please [read it](https://steemit.com/steem/@softfork222/soft-fork-222), first.

As a consensussometimes backup witness, I've reviewed, tested, and approved this change. In fact, I was the first witness reporting `v0.22.2` :) This was a hard decision to make, I've thought a lot before approving this change. That action -censoring some ops on certain accounts- is something I hate, and I hope we will never do it again.

On the other hand, for the moment it was the best solution until we have a direct communication line with @justinsunsteemit and their intentions about the usage of the ninja-mined stake. It was a safety measure we need to take to keep the blockchain safe.

I'm not really good at politics, so won't be going to details on that subject, already gave my support and it's written on the blockchain level with the reported `steemd` version, and [this](https://steemit.com/steem/@emrebeyler/q66elq#@emrebeyler/q66elq). Posting this short statement to make sure all voters of mine are aware of my stance.

If you do not agree with this action, you can support one of the witnesses that doesn't support the new soft fork. That's perfectly normal, I've dropped from #6 to #21 (now #19, things moving fast.) after the soft fork.

At the end, Justin Sun's response was good and we're open to collaborate and make this blockchainour home a better place. I want to thank all the community members made this soft fork real. @netuoso for bringing the code in a timely manner, @drakos, @howo, @smooth, @ausbitbank, @therealwolf and many others for a good participation in the test net.

Of course, there were many more names contributing in different subjects which I cannot credit at this time, but that was a great community effort, (probably?) the first fork happened without the Steemit inc. code, and everyone put something to the table in a productive manner.

I'll be bringing my technical skills to the chain, currently working on a micro-blogging dApp on STEEM. I expect nothing but good news from that point.

If you didn't vote for my witness already, consider casting a vote on [ Steemconnect](https://steemconnect.com/sign/account-witness-vote?witness=emrebeyler&approve=1) or on [Steemit](https://steemit.com/~witnesses).
