http://i.imgur.com/0oY4GIO.png The mirror principle is one of the most powerful spiritual principles. And one of the most difficult ones to understand. For me, it was also a big challenge because I was intuitively trying to understand it by myself. We are fond of banalizing things and we often forget that in between of black and white, there is a whole variety of colors. The mirror principle says: *"You are what you see in others."* http://i.imgur.com/5SKKkxU.jpg What we see does not describe the observed entity, but rather the observer. When Peter talks about Marco, he talks more about Peter than about Marco. Things you don't like in me are in fact things you don't like in yourself. And vice versa, what you love about me are the things you love about yourself. This principle is the simplest of all, but in the same time most complex. It is necessary to know a lot before this can be understood. Still, this principle fascinates me the most because it hides the true perfection of creation. I will try to explain it the best I can, so you can at least understand its foundation. I was confused by the following: *"If I see someone as a fraud or a bad guy, does it mean that I am also being one myself? What if I see someone deprecating other person, does it mean I also carry deprecation in me?"* Let's try with another example. *"When I see someone deprecating, am I not deprecating his deprecation?"* Therefore we are basically the same. The only difference is in the object of deprecation. The foundations are identical. We both deprecate. The way in which we look at something perfectly describes the observer. http://i.imgur.com/ZpZDVCx.jpg First example is a bit more complex. The fact that I see someone as a crook or a negative person shows exactly which part of me is watching - the negative aspect of ego. The one who separates from other human beings, the one who does not see the big picture and does not show understanding for someone's path, choices and story. And most importantly, does not see the soul of another person, no matter how deep it is buried. Soul always looks for the soul and ego always finds the ego. You see others from the source you look from. If you need additional explanation, remember Jesus. What did he think of the ones who scourged and crucified him? He watched them like they were innocent children which didn't know what they were doing. Without judgement, with complete understanding. He even begged the Father to forgive them. This actions depict Jesus's virtues, and not the virtues of the people he prayed for. The way in which they saw Jesus, speaks about them and not about Jesus, doesn't it? http://i.imgur.com/lAshxji.jpg Others are, indeed, our mirror. When you see others in any way other than the way that the Source and soul or Jesus himself would see them, then the mirror opens a part of you like a scalpel and shows you what is still in your soul and requires healing for your soul to be completely fulfilled. Your reality is your mirror. Your partner is your mirror. Your child is your mirror. These are all just different stories of the same mirror. *"The thing you see in me is not mine, it's yours.* *Mine is what I see in you."* **Note:** *Take the meaning of entities such as **God** and **Source** in any way that suits you the best.* For more awesome images check this guy: [Psychedelic Maniac](thepsychedelicmaniac.tumblr.com) Thank you for reading.
