Way back before my old ass was even born, there was this fella named Art Linkletter that did a short feature on one of his shows named that. About 20 years ago, that crazy pudding pop pervert guy - Bill Cosby - did his own version. I see now, that it has been picked back up by Tiffany Hadish. I don't know a lot about her but 'Meet The Spartans' was hilarious and I heard that 'Girls Trip' was pretty funny.</div> <br> <div class="text-justify">My kids say some pretty brain-tickling things. Freya, for instance, when she asks for beef jerky, she says, "Da-ee, cam I hav sum beez turkey?" I really get a kick out of some of the things they say, though not always the most opportune of times, some of it is just knee-slapping funny. Kids also have another thing they do much more often than adults.</div> ## Ok, What Are You Getting At? <div class="text-justify"><div class="pull-left">https://media0.giphy.com/media/ieO703Mr0taYo/source.gif</div>Children have an awe inspiring use of their imagination! I don't know how many times the words "what exactly are you doing" have come out of my mouth since being a parent. Just tonight at dinner, while I was trying to get my internet to work so I could attend PYPT with @thekittygirl, @shadowspub, @bluefinstudios, @metametheus, @molovelly and a dozen others, Khaldeesi was making her horse eat with us. My bad, it's not a horse, but the 'My Little Pony' character - <b>Rarity</b>. She would fly in with her cape on and scoop up some food and fly off so Khaldeesi could take a bite. Which, got both her sisters doing the same thing so I felt like I was eating in a barn, HA!</div> # The Imagination <div class="text-justify"><div class="pull-right">https://media.tenor.com/images/95401ceafa474c4fc2c1bfd8a645f7a1/tenor.gif</div>Of all the things we lose or gain by becoming an adult, aside from time, I believe imagination is the most valuable. When I was a kid, I was a super hero and a werewolf and a vampire and an astronaut and a velociraptor and a bear and an eagle and a transformer and just about anything I actually wasn't. I played in the sandbox but it was a planet in a galaxy far, far away. I played in the grass as Gulliver. I swam in the lake as an orca. How often do you pretend you're Jeff Gordon while you're driving to work or how often do you blow bubbles in your milk to create a frothy waterfall for the little fairies?</div> <br> <div class="text-justify">We, as adults, more often than not, forget that we still have an imagination. I am just as guilty as any of you reading this. To be honest, it's been weighing me down all week. I feel as though maybe my best creative years are already behind me. I don't write that many lyrics anymore - though that other factor I mentioned - time, is also a killer. Poetry is farther and fewer between. I haven't even peed my name in the snow in over 5 years. So, help me as I help you by reminding me as I remind you, not to lose our imaginations!
