Whilst investigating the death of a local scout, an admirable actor called Laura Plumb uncovers a legend about a supernaturally-cursed, enchanted sausage circulating throughout Africa. As soon as anyone uses the sausage, he or she has exactly 101 days left to live.

The doomed few appear to be ordinary people during day to day life, but when photographed, they look zombified. A marked person feels like a brunette flamingo to touch.

Laura gets hold of the sausage, refusing to believe the superstition. A collage of images flash into her mind: a wild gerbil balancing on a killer scout, an old newspaper headline about a fang accident, a hooded koala ranting about thighs and a drinking well located in a cosy place.

When Laura notices her abs have flamingo-like properties, she realises that the curse of the enchanted sausage is true and calls in her granddaughter, a navigator called Kimberly Russell, to help.

Kimberly examines the sausage and willingly submits herself to the curse. She finds that the same visions flash before his eyes. She finds the wild gerbil balancing on a killer scout particularly chilling. She joins the queue for a supernatural death.

Laura and Kimberly pursue a quest to uncover the meaning of the visions, starting with a search for the hooded koala. Will they be able to stop the curse before their time is up?
