As it would turn out there was a whole side of dungeons I was missing out on. I had a key for one and I'd soon end up discovering a bunch of others including one I could run right away.  

 

It’s always just fun going out and exploring the game further. It’s also wild to think I'm just on the “cloud side or Might and Magic IV side of the game. I for sure thought upgrading my castle was the only way to get further keys for dungeons.  

 

That would not end up being the case. There were also tower dungeons. One I had already run. I did not realize running the one I did run would end up giving me access to another tower dungeon as well. In effect, I had two dungeons I now had access to. Along with no idea where they were on the map. It was time to explore further. 

 

This also ended up being a great way to get and even find a bunch more side quests as well. I was slowly filling up a notepad with the location of things I'd found or things I needed to get done. I’ll admit I had forgotten some important details in those notes such as the name of some of the dungeons I've found in the past.

Several side quests I'd run into while searching for the dungeons I could run. Would be simply to destroy a creature's den. Everything from Ninja huts to Cyclops pits. Not only did I get a little experience for taking out the dens when I found them. I would usually find a side quest if I did not already have it nearby as well as rewarding me with even further experience.  

 

I ended up traveling through quite a lot of different lands as well. From the forests to the west of the map to the mountain-filled lava areas to the north-eastern. I’d be fighting some strange creatures from sandworms to rangers hiding in forests so thick I felt like I was getting ambushed with every step I took.  

 

I would also end up finding many objects being required in side quests as well. Not all of them were to destroy some creature's home in the area. The elf kingdom for instance wanted me to find some holy book. Meanwhile, a cleric wanted me to find a scarab.

The best part was I was not always getting just experience either. Sometimes the rewards were a bit lame like some extra food or a small amount of gold. Other times I'd be given a spell I could not just learn from a magic guild.  

 
Every time I did come across a dungeon. I’d mark it’s location. I’d even attempt to enter it as well. Just about every time I'd get the same message that I did not meet the requirements to enter it. There was this annoying guy that would pop up on the screen. I was getting rather annoyed and bored of him at this point.

Then I came across a strange cave. Caves I've found in the past were always creature dens or part of the dwarf mine. I almost ended up skipping over it. Thankfully it did not. Instead of getting the usual, I can’t enter. I was told to come on in. Turns out I meet the requirements to run Cave of Illusion.  

 

At the time I had no idea I had access to a second dungeon. I was looking instead for Golem Dungeon. I ended up marking down its location and the zone I found it in. I’d later return to run it. I was however on the search for a different dungeon I could run.  

 

While most of the time I was traveling off-road. There were still a few roads left for me to take. Even more near certain towns. Many I had just teleported into using the town portal spell. I had never even stepped outside yet to explore those areas around them.  

 

After a while, I started to realize just how many dungeons I had left to run. There is always that feeling in the back of my mind that I was somewhere near the end of the first half of the game. Most of the dungeons I had left would end up being towers.

I did also end up finding the entrance into Golem Dungeon. It was such a strange place. It had a puzzle I could not quite work out on how to advance next. Sometimes in situations like this, it’s best to come back another day with fresh eyes and try a place again.  

 

If this had been the only dungeon, I knew I had access to for the time being. I more than likely would have stuck around and kept bashing my face on walls trying to work out the hard way how the puzzle of the place works. Thankfully I still had the Cave of Illusion.

I also ended up having an entire town I had yet cleared out. I had thought by now I had at least visited them all. While following the road into one of them. I entered the town with a fully blank map.  

 

At this strange game, nothing in that town posed any challenges for me. The only challenge was this town was filled with a bunch of ghosts. It seemed they could only be hit with magic. So, I had to take a couple of breaks to recover my mana.  

 

There were also a few orbs around the town. After reading a few of them I realized I had cleared all the ghosts out of the town. Then hit a gong in the south of one building. Then head out of that building and hit a gong in the north. There were many other gongs but they did nothing. 

 

After that, I had to speak with the quest giver. He kept telling me over and over again that while I had defeated the last group of ghosts. Now the town had been overrun by even more powerful ones. This ended up going on for three or four times. At that point, I was starting to wonder if it was ever going to end.

I am now armed with the location of as far as I'm aware all the dungeon locations on the cloud side of the game. There is however a dark side of the game I had yet then explore other than going in that one time early on.  

 

I was also rather excited I had two dungeons I could run right away. Even more so since I was still mulling over in my mind the puzzle in the golem dungeon. Thankfully that would end up being out of my thought for a while since I had a few tower dungeons I'd get to run instead.
