0.000 HBDA Practical Guide To EOS Knights
 ## This is going to be a long guide, so pour a cup of coffee or your adderall and let me guide you through the first ever playable blockchain game. First of all, you might say there are other games running on blockchains. And to some extent that is true. We have crypto kitties and other collectible games like ethermons, but these aren't really functional games with a gameplay. Then we have some games like Steemmonsters and Wizards.one in the making, but who knows when they are ready if ever. So let's focus on the first actual game on a blockchain. ## To play this game you need: - Chrome - Scatter extension - EOS account - Staked CPU (preferably 15 right now thanks to CPU spammers) The game interface is like the image above. Here you can toggle between the actual battle going on, and clicking on each individual team member gives you the opportunity to change weapons, pets and even craft items. When the battle is over it's time to collect 3 items. You can wait until your characters die, and then press Rebirth. Your characters does not die. The point of the game is to come as far as possible in one run (floors). Rebirthing as well as all other interactions with the game connects you with Scatter in an almost seamless matter. I've had some interactions where I have had to restart the game, but not much hassle to be honest. Now, when you rebirth, make sure you have enough space for materials. In this situation my resource space is full, and I have to buy more. Yes, it costs EOS. Quite a lot after a while. I have 36 spaces now, and for 4 more I have to pay 0.4 EOS. BUT, you can always trash or sell your items. Right now, I chose to trash a few and gain some magic water (which is important for leveling up your guys as well as items if you want to level your items) With that done, I can rebirth my warriors. Go back to the battle and click Rebirth. Now the battle starts over and I receive some items! While the battle is being played out, which takes 10-15 minutes at my level you can go and craft items. With my new bison horn I can create a bone ring. This is also a cool experience, because all items are more or less random. This bone ring has a 100% chance at getting an attack between 90-110, meaning it will randomly become its own unique ring. It has a 40% chance at getting 26-34 Hit points as well, as mine did end up with. That's a nice touch I think and makes the game intricate. Now, let's find out if this ring is better than the rings I have on my warriors. Ideally I should have checked this out BEFORE creating it, but for the sake of this article I didn't. Go to battle and then click your knight. Is the ring better or worse than the ring my knight is currently wearing? Well..better attack, but less HP. Let's try with the archer or mage. They all had pretty much similar rings, so let's sell it instead! Firs we have to try to figure out the market value of this item. Go to marketplace - show all - code, and then find your ring or a similar one. WOW..3 ones for sale, and the cheapest one is 13 EOS. Now, I think that's a little steep, so I will help price discovery to happen and put mine out for 9 EOS - completely crashing the market for the bone rings..I go back to my items and press the bone ring. Now I am selling the cheapest rare bone ring currently on the market. Another cool thing is that you can combine items if you have two of them. If you have two shitty swords for example, you can merge them together to save space as well as giving it more value. I will also mention the importance of spending at least some of your free magic water (early adopters get 10,000 free magic water) on pets. Pet's can be common, rare, unique and legendary. If you get many of the same pet drops, you can combine them to create a level 2 or more pet. Pet's are extremely powerful and important. You can also see your purchase and sell log You can also see ranking. Eggxon is one of the whales, and members of the Discord group as well. 95th floor. Mental! And that is pretty much it. You fight, get resources, craft items, level up your items, and then sell and buy resources and/or items in your quest of exploring what is ahead on the deeper floors. Are there some hidden legendary items? Who knows? I haven't seen any legendary items on the market place yet, so these are definitely very hard to find and probably very valuable as this game becomes more popular. The FIRST ever easy accessible addictive game on blockchain just happened. Congratulations to the developers. This is the beginning of what will eventually change the gaming industry and therefore the world for ever.
