Last week I posted about the fact I'm going on a company payed snowboarding trip soon, and that it's been a while since I've been. One thing I remembered from back then, was that I had (to me at least) a really epic playlist to rock it down the white slopes at neck breaking speeds. 

I would pull my super-duper state-of the-art iPod from my inner pocket, press the play button, cradle the earbuds in my ears, grumble and cuss when putting my helmet on pulls the earbuds out, than after fixing the buds & pulling on the helmet more carefully, climber up like a bear with his ass trapped in a hole in the ground, wobble a little bit and then BAM .... I become the dude, the rockstar, the incredibly gifted snowboarder surfing the snowy peaks of the French Alpes... well, that's at least the feeling the music always gave me.

I had to dig through tons of old stuff, tucked away in a cobweb covered attic, to locate my old external hardrive on which all my old mp3s were stored (does anyone actually use those anymore with services like Spotify etc.?), but I managed to find it and drag it across time into the now.

I was loathed to discover I didn't even use an actual playlist, but a folder mimicking an 'album'. Now, with Spotify, I rebuild it using a playlist of course. I can now even edit it on the fly (add/remove songs), which I couldn't back then with my iPod.

Obviously, music is something of a very personal nature and taste, so this playlist might not be for everyone or even anyone, but it works for me, and I look forward to Rocking down the mountainside once more, listening to songs that withstood the test of time.

It's mostly comprised of what I would call Highschool movie rock (you know the type's of movies these were used in), with some other energetic rock & beats mixed in. I also have to admit that there are more than a few guilty pleasures in there 🙈
