For someone who grew up in a country surrounded by water on all sides (and a town just a few kilometers off the sea), I do not know how to swim. Even dog paddle *gives up* on me. My friends would try to teach me freaking *float* during the occasional times we got out to the beach or the pool, but I just really couldn't.

I panic easily -- and apparently, that spoke volumes.

## Drawing *Sink*
I have just watched *[Japan Sinks 2020](https://g.co/kgs/EojU4Q)* two nights ago, and the story just stuck. Then earlier today, I was browsing through Pinterest once again for interesting stuff to draw when I came across this ["artistic moves"](https://fstoppers.com/photo/388031) photograph by Gruet Florian.

And I thought, "Wow, how timely!"

The *Japan Sinks 2020* anime was literally about Japan sinking into the ocean, while the photograph by Florian was about a woman underwater -- which I just automatically translated to a woman sinking into the ocean.

Initially, I intended to add much more details on the woman underwater, until I realized I had to blur her in the end. Efforts: cancelled.

I wasn't comfortable drawing the ocean surface, but when was I ever towards anything besides drawing humans? Hahaha. I tried to figure out how I should go about painting it, and maybe learn a thing or two for future reference, but I balked at the littlest of details.

Or I might just be seriously moody today and I can't bring myself to even try. I'm not exactly proud of this piece, but I am proud that I actually took an interest to digitally paint something as beautiful as the photo  by Florian.

I'm not even sure anymore when I'll get to try my ongoing WIPs. They're still just that -- works in progress. HAHAHA. But I shall try completing one of them very soon just so I won't feel guilty just starting drawings one after the other.
