Yesterday I went to a new exhibition, that was planned way before it started. All I knew was the artist's name and that was all. Not knowing what to expect makes you have no expectations and if you don't have expectations, you can't get disappointed. Simple as that.  One quick look in the room was enough to know I'm going to see some amazing paintings and trust me, my first impression was not wrong. The artist's name was Mária Schneller and after going through her paintings, at some point I realized it was not the first time I was seeing her works, but more about this later.  *Artist Holding A Triangle Mirror*  I had to take a close up photo of the head, for you to see how life like this painting was. Look at the facial features. The other thing I loved about this painting was the kind of neutral background, so the eye would focus on the man. In my pinion, the colors are perfect here. I can't tell you the measures of the painting, but this was quite big. Must have been one meter tall, at least.  *Message* Same model, same high quality and precision in execution. These two paintings have already convinced me of the value of the artist, but at that point I did not know who she was.  *Along The River*  *Morning Ox Field* Over the years I have learnt to pay attention to frames as well and after visiting so many exhibitions, I have quite a few preferences and a lot more that I don't like. This is one of the frames I would prefer. I love the color, the thickness of the frame is perfect for the size of the painting. I love it. Another option that would go well with this painting would be a wider frame and a lighter color.  *Landscape* I liked this one too. Not so much the green frame, but it's not bad, I could get used to it.  *Tangled Branches* This was the other painting I loved. I looked at it thinking, it would be nice to be there, to enjoy the silence and the fresh air. This was also a big painting.  *Eternal Field*  *Walking Along Secrets* This was the painting that I already saw at the previous exhibition and loved it a lot. I remember I stood in front of it and tried to imagine myself walking along the river.  *Dream*  *Apple Tree* I think this was the painting at which I started thinking why I like these artworks so much. Looking back, I think it was the color combination the painter used, but the style as well.   *Landscape*  *Driftwood In The River* This was another nice one I loved, but contrary to the title, what I noticed first was the reflection. The water worked like a mirror here and I even tried to figure out if the reflections are rightly painted. We don't know if the painter painted this photo at the scene, or used a photo as reference, or she painted it from memory. In the first two cases she would have had the reflection in front of her, but when you're painting from memory, it's a bit more difficult.
