You've Not Seen It All
Yesterday finally had time to spare a couple of hours, to go visit the two exhibitions that were on my list. I keep thinking this is the last one of the year as Christmas is coming, but they keep proving me wrong. What I saw yesterday is not the last one of the year as there will be others. This is not complaining as I'm really glad.

![You've Not Seen It All.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/erikah/48Rsrad1xAPGF8nsYTPKfSpXk5eZJChVMHcDqXgUrmb6oHgVM5iR93AbkaSrjUt6J1.jpg)

While I was walking home from the exhibitions, was thinking, if you're a regular at exhibitions, like me, you could think, after visiting so many, you've seen it all as even if art and creativity have no limits, it can become repetitive at some point. Not that I think I've seen it all, not by far, but even if I would, yesterday I would have been proven wrong. What I saw was fantastic and something I've never seen before.

Yesterday I saw a photo exhibition, which was exceptional, a painting, graphics, drawing exhibition and the other one was a mix of graphics and sculpture. Today I'd like to share the photos I took at the second one, a solo exhibition of Krisztina Molnár, called *The Texture of Memory*.

Lets start with this photo, which is going to make @mipiano smile for sure 😜 This piano is always in the exhibition room, but this time it served as display for prints, cards for sale. These prints and cards were made with the artworks from the exhibition.

![20251211_102623a.JPG](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/erikah/EoeFsBv7pDEtq7Pz5KzxpYUecpE4Pob9w8V79ieV4YJD9SvM63X9uGHfV6ZRaQqsUJb.JPG)

First impression always counts a lot and here it was a really good one. This is what I saw when I stepped into the exhibition room.

![20251211_102718a.JPG](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/erikah/23yJJuL7Cbby92WqJAL5o2JQjcziPsvdivBS1LcMxkHup8cpnHpEbzAi2hJKpY7JNpVEx.JPG)

Then this thing appeared next to me. When I first heard the noise, could not see it as it was in the other room, so I thought is the vacuum cleaner, which it was in a way, but not managed by a cleaning lady, but by an app. I had to be careful not to step on it, of kick it, but was able to continue my journey.

*April - poem illustration*

This was where the fun began. This was not just a painting. It is based on a poem and connected to it obviously. For me, it's always intriguing to see two *artists* working one after the other. I can't call this collaboration as the work was not done in the same time and I bet when the poem was born, there was no plan to have an illustration of the poem, but if this was for a poem book, then I might be wrong.

*Jerusalem*

This was a lovely one, but you can't really see the beauty of it as it was covered by glass. Yes, my biggest enemy!

![20251211_102824a.JPG](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/erikah/EpGSgnQYsuykj8xeNds1PKhDRs4udUSZ1boNf9rNdN5XP3PC6g5i3jifijbQsRV7oAq.JPG)

*Gifts*

Seeing this painting made me almost smile ear-to-ear. Yes, you may say it's not a Picasso or Boticelli, but for me it is. I love this type of art and to be honest, I've seen similar, but not like this. Each square is unique and you need to go over each and every one to see the beauty of it, then take a step back and look at it as a whole. It's kind of like an Advent calendar, but still different.

*Snowing*

I keep repeating myself, but loved this one too. It's like an illustration for children's book. Maybe it is. Using a darker background and so many colors makes it lovelier in my eyes.

![20251211_102922a.JPG](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/erikah/23wMaX4DuaE8fYGC9wrirkbtknmid5e65GBBeTP1fj7f52VDy4NPRwdYuFJDoofx1zB18.JPG)

Now look at the details. Isn't it amazing?

![20251211_102927a.JPG](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/erikah/242rtsicCekh3UDbFVWzvQX4oXjW7duwNvJN2bMcS8uPT1yDE68avFf2Egzj5BL42yGRx.JPG)

![20251211_102932a.JPG](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/erikah/23vsQXxG2UgR1ZRD7DWGgUdSr5SnY1DwnNviYMtecqAGoPf8xcTWQzG9mh8GuxkcKGUX9.JPG)

Slowly I came to realize, this type of drawing, painting is the closest to what I could create. This painting is specifically close to my heart as I love drawing buildings and houses and with all those tiny details and so many colors, for me it's perfect.

Look at the seamstress shop at the ground floor, then the drawings on the first floor, then the boat on the second floor. It's really far from reality, but children's book are not about reality anyway.

*Small Town*

This was where I started smiling again, because I've seen this painting before, at another exhibition and I know exactly where and on which wall was exhibited. This is a strange thing I have noticed about myself, but it's a good one.

Back then I thought it's amazing and haven't changed my opinion. Even though it looks like a drawing for children's' book, it's a very realistic one. In some parts of each Transylvanian city, you see old houses, where time has stopped a long time ago. You can see cats and old people looking out of the window. What's special here is the gradient colors. I love it, especially how the orange give a nice light to it. Making it this colorful was an excellent idea.

*Transylvanian Landscape*

This is another fantastic *painting*, for several reasons, even if it doesn't look like it. It's basically a collage, made with painted pieces, using different mediums, starting from canvas to paper. At least that's how it looked to me.

I see this piece not only as an artwork, but recycling as well. Once you can use whatever leftovers you have, it's recycling, reusing, repurposing, upcycling, call it whatever you like. I've seen this piece at the same exhibition as the other one I mentioned.

There were a few surprises at this exhibition and what I mentioned in this post is not all. Next time I'm going to show you more, that proves some artists have exceptional skills.

This is it for today, let me know which is your favorite. I hope you have one :)
