Regardless of what cryptocurrency is your favorite, you should consider running your own Node for whatever cryptocurrency you use.  It is VERY important not just for various chains to run your node, but it ensures that you have total control of all of your funds in that wallet. People rely too heavily on centralized exchanges or third-party accounts to keep their money 'safe', but let's be frank your money is never safe in the possession of another person, group or an organization/business. It's very reckless to allow other people to handle your funds.

Hackers are abundant and this will remain true forever now. Businesses and organizations can be shady. There really isn't a real reason why you should leave your money on third-party exchanges or applications unless it's to move your money quickly and immediately into cash or other assets.  Start running your own nodes and take good care of your keys. This is just a friendly reminder to keep your cryptocurrencies secure!
