Why Self Employment is Difficult Like Work from Home
World remained into the lockdown for more than 1 and half years. A lot of people spent their time into the work from home routine and managed to get into the routine which kind of made them hate working from home. As much as it sounded good. It has resulted in the health issues and the problems with the self employment. I know some people can pull it off. But I have noticed some of the issues with the self employment and making business without employees.

So let's discuss some of the problems in the self employment.

### Lack of Delegation
---

When you work for your own self you have nobody to work with unless you hire them. You have only the client and yourself. And that phase is similar to the freelance, contractor and other similar phase where you may fear the lack of delegation. And as you age say over 30 you would be facing a lot of need for other people. And as you go ahead you have to take the route to the delegation and make things working for them. So make sure to delegate your recurring work to other people and then build on the top of that.

### Lack of Focus
----

When you are working on too many things. You lack the focus on working on what matters. Like say you are managing the graphic design business. You lack focus because you do the client building, client maintaining, accounting and others. So in order to do one thing at a time and also doing multiple things in a day you have to focus on one thing. Like say writing this content right now is my focus. I may move on to something else once this is done. This is the single tasking focus is what you need at a time. So it takes time and recurring process what we call focus.

### Personal Life Distraction
---

You are at home since lockdown and I am sure you had your own set of the distraction which made you want to worry. Like noise from pets and the kids. And the clashes with the family members because we see each other too much. And the thing about the personal life is that you can't fix it nor you can ditch it. So you have to adjust yourself with the changes that happens. So make sure to distract yourself out and make sure to have some space apart from the work and family. Because now a days the boundaries are being adjusted accordingly there as well.

### Stress & Health Issues
---

You may find that working from home means that your blood pressure and blood sugar would shot up. Because your movement has been reduced and your mind thinks a lot. And so you may find that you would require a lot of health issues to address. And you have to do exercise. You have to also meditate because you would find that a lot of work is done in vaccum if you work from home or as a freelancer or self employed working from home. You may notice that you have to learn to manage your stress. You have to handle it more gracefully by delegating and also managing the people and problem through different skills.

### Conclusion
---

Self employment is lot harder than working on job or the business. In fact working in a business takes more efforts and the time than any other that you can even imagine and work over as well. I have learned from my experience that you need to make a big shift in your focus in order to handle this.

How do you handle working from home? Do you have your own tips in this context?
