 The popular Urashi river has its root from a waterfall in Ezeama (Water God's Alter) 183m above sea level in Dikenafai, Imo State South East Nigeria. Entrance to Ezeama where you find the waterfall source of Urashi river is quite narrow and steep with thick bushy pathways & sounds of so many untamed animals. I was lucky to have gone with so many guides who took me on an epic adventure of a lifetime! So Journey with me into the enclave of the historical Ezeama waterfall & source of the Ancient Urashi River.  Once you get nearer, the loud sound of growing rush of water gets louder giving you a feeling of excitement and awe. As Described by Nema Obih, > "It was a narrow, unassuming pathway cut into the thicket of the forest. From the pathway, one could hear the steady rush of water growing louder as one drew near. A gentle mist hung in the air; a sweet combination of salty rainwater mixed with the smell of fresh wet earth. The pathway, which was less than a quarter of a mile long, soon gave way to a clear opening and there suddenly the waterfall appeared, a breathtaking view, like a huge strike of lightning on a bright summer day" [Source](http://en.turkcewiki.org/wiki/Orashi_River)  As you approach you are faced with a very steep steps leading down to the location. The steps was said to be built by the British colonial masters many years ago and stretches deep down to the base of the Ezeama waterfall.  Walking down the steep pathway to the base needs courage and extreme care as one miss of your step can lead to fatal free fall, being that the side of the steps has no hand railings and very deep steep fall! as such I picked my steps one after another with caution and a deep sense of excitement!  On reaching the base , you find all over you huge ancient trees, grooves, shrubs and thick bamboo trees with sounds of strange animals.A feeling of excitement encapsulates you at the base and you are eager to look up the steps and later face the pathway to the Ezeama water fall.   See some locals (kids and adults) taking careful steps down the steep pathway leading to the waterfall.   After getting to the base of the steep steps, I now walk through a narrow path to the main location and the sound of the waterfalls gets louder and my excitement grows.  Finally celebrating my full entry into this historical enclave of Ezeama with so many ancient caves, grooves and shrubs.  Ezeama or the "Water God's Alter" is truly a very unique location and Orashi stream which originates from Ezeama in Dikenafai is said to serve as the lifeline of Ideato South Communities which has many benefits to the locals as source of drinking, washing, bathing, swimming etc.  Keep following me for the next and final part of my adventure journey into the Ancient Ezeama Waterfall in Dikenafai coming up soon.
