Consideraba que muchos de los alimentos y bebidas que consumimos guardan estrecha relación con lo que nos ofrecen en casa durante nuestros años de infancia. Sé de niños que desde muy pequeños los acostumbran a tomar café con leche durante el desayuno, así que es lógico que cuando sean adultos sigan con el gusto por el café e incluso que lo aumenten pasando a tomar café negro; es normal que esta bebida forme parte de su vida, principalmente por estar presente desde sus años de infancia. Esta bebida pasa a ser un hábito familiar que une a este, ahora adulto, a recuerdos de su infancia.

Vengo de una familia donde este hábito jamás existió, así que mi relación con el café digamos que no es muy cercana. Lo probé siendo adulta y jamás me ha gustado el café negro, pero de vez en cuando, ya en mi adultez, mi mamá, cuando venía de visita, preparaba café negro y café con leche, y probando este último con mucha azúcar, me gustó.

Ahora puedo disfrutar un sabroso café con leche, y si lo acompaño con un cachito hecho en casa, mucho mejor.

El mundo del café ha avanzado de forma gigantesca durante los últimos años. El *boom* del barismo ha hecho que muchas personas se interesen en este arte. Existe gran oferta de café y entre ellos se encuentran los de especialidad.

Pero también sucede que, aunque no hayas adquirido ese gusto por el café en tu infancia, ese *boom* del barismo te haya alcanzado. A esto le llamo el poder de la *tendencia*. Tengo un primo que se formó como barista, y pasó de no tomar café a verlo como un ritual. Desde comprar los granos de café, tostarlos, molerlos y así todos los procesos necesarios para que beber una taza de su café sea una experiencia genial al poder presenciar este ritual.

Gracias a él, pude probar un café de especialidad, perteneciente a la marca *Café y Ciencia*, un producto venezolano creado en 2020. Este pertenece a un *Special Nano Lot*, un café premium proveniente de un *nanolote*, una pequeña selección de café de alta calidad.

Así es como la vida nos sorprende y algo que no nos gustaba, algo que no   estaba presente en nuestro mapa, ahora nos guíe por momentos especiales.
