I have been to this village several times in my life. As a child, through Sinega I went fishing with my uncle on a bicycle. But when, as an adult, with a photographic look that cannot be taken out of your head, you find yourself in the same place again, then everything feels very different. This can safely be called a second acquaintanceship.

Big Sinega is a village in the Veliky Ustyug district of the Vologda region. It is part of the Krasavinsky rural settlement. The distance by road to the regional center of Veliky Ustyug is 21 km, to the center of the municipality of the village of Vasilyevskoye - 1 km.

Before any trip, I always first study the map from the satellite, but how much each time the expectations do not coincide with reality! And more often than not, reality turns out to be much better than expected. And it happened here again.

All villages located in the floodplain of the Northern Dvina river are always alike: houses stand on both sides of the same straight street, around the field. The only feature at first glance is a wooden bridge over a small ravine with a stream.

In the center of Big Sinega there is a unique house - the visiting card of the village, but it is fenced on all sides by a high fence.

The beginning of the walk along Big Sinega did not bode unusual, but after I went to the extreme street (if you can call it that), which runs along the shore of the old riverbed lake, I was delighted.

It turns out that almost all the facades of the houses are turned towards the old lake, and you can look at the chain of houses only from the opposite shore of this lake.
