It's not fun. Especially if you are bag holding tokens that don't do anything. Coins like Bitcoin, ETH and Litecoin. To see your portfolio go down for the last 5 months is not fun and it's even worse if you can't do anything with those coins. It's one of the reasons I like STEEM so much. Even though STEEM has gone down more than most coins you can still use your stake to earn more STEEM everyday. And when the sentiment changes you will have more tokens that can now go up. Another thing to look at in a downtrend is to look at development of a blockchain. Is there still development when times are bad? As far as I can tell with Steem, development has not stopped at all. Steem inc is still working hard and releasing more constant updates you can read about on their steemitblog and 3rd party developers update and create new tools, apps and frontends almost every day. All you have to do is wait (again).
