**Hive… What is Hive?**
 
I had very little idea about what Hive was until a friend introduced me to it. I have always been interested in technological advancements like crypto and blockchain, but I lacked the foundational knowledge required to fully understand them.

After a brief introduction from my friend @Abdul-qudus, he provided me with some online resources to help me learn more about Hive. The experience was exhilarating; I felt like a child receiving a new toy or an elderly person going back to school. I spent nearly the entire night trying to grasp the concepts, but honestly, I think I overestimated myself by believing I could learn everything in one sitting. The terminology was unfamiliar to me, but I reminded myself that “Rome wasn't built in a day” and “The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” I am confident that with time and consistency, I will be able to explain and introduce new users to Hive.

**Who Am I?**
 
I have often asked myself the question, “Who am I?” but I have yet to arrive at a definitive answer. For now, I can only share some basic information such as my name, interests, dislikes, hobbies, and goals.
 
My name is Ezem Ugochukwu Olumide, but you can call me Ugo, Ugochukwu, Mide, or Olu, depending on our level of closeness and your ability to pronounce it. I am from Imo State, Nigeria, which is also my father’s state of origin, while my mother hails from Osun State. I am the firstborn in a family of four children (three boys and one girl, affectionately known as our princess).
 
**Likes and Dislikes**
 
Let me think about my likes and dislikes. I enjoy trying new and challenging things because I firmly believe that anything is possible if you put God first and commit your mind to it. 
 
I recall forcing myself to learn how to play chess; although I am neither a master nor a novice, I consider myself to be intermediate. I have also pushed myself to acquire skills in areas such as trading, UI/UX design, and data analysis. Throughout this journey, I have relied on consistency and determination as my driving forces. While I may not be an expert in these fields yet, I am certainly no novice, and I have gained valuable knowledge along the way.

Also, I have grown to love the gym. It was a challenge I initially had to push myself to embrace at the beginning of the second quarter of this year. The gym has become my sanctuary—an escape where I can temporarily set aside my worries and focus solely on my workouts.
 
Hive represents another challenge I intend to conquer, and I hope it will become my safe space as well.
 
As for my dislikes, they tend to vary. Fundamentally, I believe that if you treat me with the same respect I offer you, we should not have any issues.
 
**Current Activities**
 
Currently, I work remotely and have been exploring various activities to keep myself occupied and achieve my goals.
 
**Plans for Hive**

As I mentioned earlier, I want Hive to be my safe space where I can blog, comment, like, and establish an online presence for myself. I rarely go out to socialize or meet new people, so I hope that through Hive, I can connect with communities and individuals who share similar interests and accomplish many things.
