<center>  ___ ___ Just now as I write the words that will later become this post, one of the Leonard Cohen lines from a song I very much admire slipped through my mind and it goes; >***”I should’ve seen it coming, after all I knew the chart. Just to look at her was trouble, It was trouble from the start. Sure we played a stunning couple But I never liked the part. It ain’t pretty and it ain’t subtle; What happens to the heart.”*** ___ These are not my favourite lines from that masterpiece but it came to mind today when I was looking at this subject and decided to share it anyway. ___ I think the look on his face reminded me of when I should’ve left my ex but held on thinking I was overreacting. And eventually discovered I wasn’t and that I actually meant nothing to her in the first place. All those years wasted. But I’m glad that I’m free now and I’m able to travel different states and soon different countries. She just wanted to stay in one place and I didn’t even notice how much I limited myself till she left. ___ Even though I couldn’t see my face that night when she finally decided to tell me to my face after those numerous lies, I’d like to think that this was the face I made.
