Her eyes were filled with tears and she was begging money from others. She was looking perfectly fine, so a thought came into my mind.

"She should try to find some means for earning money, instead of humiliating herself by asking others."

Just then she headed towards me and asked for help. At first, I gave her a strange look, but just then she stretched out her arm under the cloak. I was shocked to see her arm, it was without a hand. This made me sad and I realized her pain at that moment. I wanted to know the reason for this, so I asked.

"What happened to you?" I asked scared.

"I had diabetes mellitus for three years, so a mild wound turned into a serious injury in a few months. So doctors cut off my hand by doing surgery to prevent further damage. "

"I am so sorry! But where is your family." I asked in pity.

" My husband has died and my son is not ready to keep me in his home."

This broke my heart. I truly wanted to help her, so I gave her the money which I currently had in my bag. This money was for my academic purposes, but I couldn't stop myself from helping her. She was happy to receive the money and blessed me with kind words. My heart was at peace to help a needy woman.

After a few days, I was normally attending my class, when a girl came and informed us about the notice which was currently posted on the chart board from our college administration. They were demanding the 2nd installment with the board fee. It was a total of 20k money. I was worried to hear it. That day, I went home early by taking a half day's leave as my mind was not working and I was disturbed.

I informed my mom, but I was already aware of the current circumstances of my family. At that moment, my father couldn't pay the money. He asked me to wait for a few days, so he could manage the fee. I waited for one whole week, but still, he couldn't arrange the money, as it was the middle of the month and there was no chance of receiving the money in any way.

The next day, our college administration gave us a deadline to submit the fee, otherwise we would have to pay the fine. I got worried and was unable to pay the fee. During the recess time, I was sitting on one side of the classroom with my head down. My classmate came and asked me the reason. 

"Are you okay? Why do you look so worried?"

I couldn't utter a word. She was a very kind and generous girl, who was used to helping her classmates in their hour of need. She asked me again and I told her that I was having a headache. But she was not ready to believe it. 

"I know you are hiding something else, which you don't want to share with me but believe me, I just want to end your worry. 

Just then, a girl came and asked me to go to the staffroom. When I went there, the clerk gave me a warning letter along with the other two girls. When I came out, I went straight into the classroom. The same girl again came to me and said.

"I know the reason for your stress. So don't worry, tomorrow you will pay your fee."

I considered it a joke, but the next day she came to me and gave me an envelope. When I opened it, there was money inside. I was reluctant to accept such a large amount from her, but she comforted me with her kind words.

"I know you don't want to accept it, but you need it. So pay your fee and return me whenever you could arrange your fee."

I was grateful to her and promised to return her money as soon as it would be possible. I paid my fee and thanked her a lot. After a few days, my father gave me the money to pay my fee, which I paid her immediately. That day I realized that kindness never goes unrewarded. I helped the poor lady and karma came to serve me in this way.
