Hi great people,
This is my entry in response to the contest for week 69 edition 3 which centre's on the kind of real name I bear.
I don't so much  know about other countries but in Africa names are always powerful that's why carefulness is required in choosing such names.

Names are like prophesy that designs the destiny and the future of an individual either positively or negatively. As a result of this great significance, it's expedient that one should be very careful in answering although sometimes they are just given by parents without any prior information about such names.

There are certain parents in Africa that gives their child names as a result of an unfortunate events which inspires them to create names in a form of retaliation to the the opposition hmmm their wards now bears every consequences it comes with.

There was this man that had a terrible life experience and in fact was overshadowed by poverty. He went through a lot as far as life can offered. He lost farm produce and some of his children hmmm immediately the wife put to bed another baby behold it was a boy. He decided to name the child suffering saying he suffered a lot therefore let this name be like a memorial for him. Can you imagine the reason why he named his child? 

In another setting some give out names as a result of the days in the week or their market days or perhaps the name of an ancient river or a monument or the name of the gods of the land. 

### About my real name.
I have seen people changing their names for different motives, and different reasons but I will like to share about my real name and why I still answer it.
Though the name falls in one of the days in a week but it holds significant meaning that almost rejected the name in ignorance not until my elder brother open the revelation behind the name for me. I thought changing it will make a great difference.

I was named Friday which had root coincidentally the day we commune rate the death of Jesus Christ commonly known as good Friday which eventually led to the genesis of my name. The name was borned out of revelation which simply means the day the salvation of humanity was accomplished through the death of Jesus Christ according to the Christian faith.

Immediately I lay hold of that, my spirit was stirred and I literally began to share about my name even when others tend to tease me and almost mocked me, I will clearly informed them that I am a transformed Friday not just an ordinary day of the week.

### would I want the name to be changed?
I don't think I have any dream of changing my name again since I have gotten the grip of its meaning. I love the name and I will always like it no matter how the situation might be. 

### CONCLUSION
When the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable so also when the revelation or meaning of a name is not known certainly one would opt for a new name. I know who I am and where I am going therefore my name is inline with my pursuit of destiny.
