One of the miracles I have ever seen is the privilege to be among the living and for a smooth triumphant entry into the month of June. It appears as if the 31 days in May won't finished, but the praise God it's a dawn of a new month already. I would have dropped my entry yesterday but something happened, I couldn't wait for the contest to drop but went ahead and mistakenly picked the wrong topic which is not part of the entire schedule. I almost had reasons to be offset but something calmed my spirit. I realized it was very bad for me to start my new week in such mood. I'm here again that's the most important thing. 

Considering the theme for this edition which is skipped mind. Kudos to the management for coming up with something like this. It's been interactive and intriguing in this community always. As humans, we all have the tendency to skip or forget one thing or the other. I think it's part of our makeup however there are things we could do to enable us not to forget things. Skipped your mind shouldn't be a lifestyle but something that happens once in a while as a way of life. There are tips we can deploy to keep us focused and refreshed.

I have a teenager that for almost three terms I have been battling with him over the spirit of forgetfulness. Anything you tell him he won't respond immediately and later you would start to hear words like sorry I forgot. Do you know it was consistent with him? It got me pissed off many times because how would you forget an important thing as this? No matter the gravity of what you cherished once it gets to him he would simply tell you I forgot. I boldly told him oga, you have to wake up and take some steps to come out.

I would like to share my story how an important thing of my life skipped my mind. I've ever shared this perhaps in one of the posts many moments ago. It was an experience that won't erase easily in my heart during my studies in higher school. You all know how important exams is to a student. When I gained admission, I told myself never to have any carry over. As my academic journey unveils, I became the class representative for those years.

My second year in school was a great. We were all writing the first semester Examination at that very particular level. There was this course I loved so much because of the nature of the Lecturer then. He was one of my best and most friendly lecturer. It happened that on the day of exams I skipped the time. All my thought was that the exams will start by 11am. I was at home reading and preparing towards the paper unknown to me the time was actually 8am.The real time skipped my mind and caused me a lot.

I came to the school few minutes to 11 and met every where dried no students. I was thinking others are yet to come not knowing that the exams has been written already. Kash!!! I cried ooooooo because I knew it was supposed to be a distinction for me but the real time skipped my mind.

This really cost me time and energy to sit for the carryover. The step i took was to encourage myself and wrote the exams again. To curb future occurrence, i wouldn't just assume everything to be ok like that. I will ensure I confirm things from others before taking any action.
