### Versione Italiana Qualche giorno fa David Puente, mitico giornalista indipendente e programmatore, ha scoperto che nei Social Media ci sono *bots* che, nel caso che vi parlero oggi, creavano posts su Twitter per far parlare di Matteo Salvini e quindi fare pubblicità. Usando appunto conti di Twitter falsi, il 24 Gennaio, 150 accounts hanno postato lo stesso messaggio, nello stesso momento. > “Un Matteo#Salvini STREPITOSO su LA7! Siete d’accordo?”  [Pixabay](www.pixabay.com) A quanto riferito da Puente, questi 150 accounts di Twitter non erano in funzione da quando Renzi provo' a far passare il referendum sulla riforma del senato. Come riporta [Atlantic Council](http://www.atlanticcouncil.org/) questi bots sui social media potrebbero manipolare le campagne politiche. Salvini ed il suo staff non commentano il fatto.  [Pixabay](www.pixabay.com) L'uso di questi bots non é illegalo ma puo avere un vero effetto sulla decisione dei votanti. Secondo Puente, questo comportamento si vede soprattutto con i partiti estremi, sia di sinistra che di destra. Non é un evento isolato, difatti é stato interessante imparare da uno studio che ha fatto l'università della California del Sud, che circa il 15% degli accounts di Twitter (che ammontano a 330milioni) sono accounts finti e quindi bots. Si riporta che circa il 19% di tutti i tweets, durante le elezioni americane del 2016, siano stati automatizzati. - Come vedete questa automatizazzione? - Io personalmente non seguo Twitter, ma cerco di diversificare le mie informazioni, voi come fate? Il mio consiglio rimane, per quanto riguarda le elezioni, di pensare con la propria testa, certo che sapere che qualcuno usa dei bots per parlare di se é abbastanza triste..un po da sfigati? disperati nel far parlar di se? **Followa / Upvota / Commenta / Resteema** ### English Version A few days ago, David Puente, an independent journalist and software developer, discovered that in Social Media there are *bots*, which in the case I will be speaking to you today, relates to the fact that those bots were creating posts on Twitter that were talking about Mr Matteo Salvini (a Lega Nord party candidate for the coming Italian elections on the 4th of March 2018), with the purpose of course to advertise him. The bots were in fact using fake accounts, about 150 of them which were posting the same message, at the same time: > A fantastic Matteo Salvini on La7 (TV channel)! Do you agree? As referred by Puente, those 150 accounts of Twitter were dormant since Mr Renzi was trying to pass into law a very important senate reform. Interestingly, as reportetd by [Atlantic Council](http://www.atlanticcouncil.org/) these bots on social media could have a real effect on election outcomes. These behaviours are being used by extreme parties, both from right and left.
