The True Worth Of Data

Trillions, if not Zillions of individual datum are produced on a daily basis. Everyone inadvertently generates data in almost everything we do on Electronic Media. Every keystroke could be logged, every pixel of every selfie, the articles you read/write on steemit, the pictures you constantly view on Instagram. All contain a rich and valuable resource people more than often overlook

Data is power to whomever can really access the power it contains. Infact most companies these days are worth as much historical data as they have.

With the advent of Machine Learning in the last decade or so, the value of data has increased sporadically. Inside historical data lies market patterns that have made us understand how things from, weather patterns, financial forecasting, customer behavior and even reaction to unreleased products and applications. Companies like Google and Amazon have grown to the size due to the large amounts of data they have, and their almost superhuman ability to learn from such data and stay ahead of the competition

So in the case where these companies are making Trillions of dollars from our data, what do we get exactly in return? Almost nothing ... Till Blockchain Technology came along.

Welcome to the future people!
