# Underground playground

Two Death Splinter teams face off in a [Splinterlands](https://splinterlands.com?ref=felipejoys) Top Battles in bronze, risking their precious MMR in an attempt to climb higher on the leaderboard. Both of them use Cursed Windeku as their tank, which is the best possible choice, since it's a really strong frontliner for its mana cost. @igopdadomlet decides playing a lot of backstabbers would work out well, while @dawgstar doesn't seem to focus on anything specific.

@dawgstar at the bottom side quickly sees himself in deep trouble as their backline dies off and his Cursed Windeku's attack is halved, but because @igopdadomlet's Lira the Dark at the top side strikes at the life leeching Venari Bonesmith instead of his tank, it's the gold foil tank that ends up dying first despite all of the advantage top side had.

We can see also how bot side's Magi Necrosi turned out to be very ineffective due to magic damage reduction and the way his Hafling Alchemist never halved top side's frontliner damage, so who would ever guess victory would still end up in the hands of @dawgstar? Furthermore, what could @igopdadomlet have done differently?

Lira the Dark occupies too much mana. It's a seven mana card with a lot of speed and health, but it won't do anything when it gets to the frontline, which it likely will, considering all monsters between her and the frontliner only have one or two health each. Replacing her and Furious Chicken for two more balanced cards for this battle would surely have ensured @igopdadomlet had won.
