# An open letter about capitalism, free market and taxation

A letter to you, who agrees with this, that anyone who isn't sure of what this is all about can also read. Just bare in mind I'm talking to the ones that actually believe taxation is theft. I go through morals first, but I address the system side of things too, which are obviously just as important, if not more.

You hate the corruption behind big companies' and governments. You love the idea of free market, but you don't like taxes. You don't like when money is taken away from you for seemingly no reason, only to see it go to someone who never did something to earn it. You are angered by the fact that part of your money from your hard work is going to the government.

Money governments collect from you is sent to people who need incentives - like the poor, who you despise because you think of them as bums. You think a person born without money is supposed to go through hell just to "prove their worth", but you do it from your wealthy seat of someone who inherited dad's money or got lucky in a crypto wave. You have no idea if you'd be able to "prove your worth" in their position, but you think they have to do it anyway.

You're using double standards in a very convenient and arrogant way, just like the big companies you hate have been doing. You can see you are thinking in the same corrupted way as them, only at your own financial scale. At this rate, you're no better than the ones you hate. You're also fine with not understanding what taxes are actually for, because in your head, it's theft and that's all there will ever be to it.

You think of people who aren't satisfied in living in a poor-ass city where only bad companies have settled, you conclude they should pack up and leave, move to somewhere where there is opportunity for them. Again, you think they're supposed to lose a huge chunk of their lives in search of better conditions, something you never had to do. So again, arrogant double standards.

So far, you don't have to do a single thing you want others to do. You want to submit them to your will, despite never having to suffer because of your own rules, after all, you were born in a much better position.

Now that we've talked about how the moral process behind this is incredibly flawed, I'm going to explain to you how taxation isn't theft.

You love money and you love capitalism. You also love this little thing called "free market" and you advocate for competition. Free market is incredible! That's why we get a lot of new inventions that aren't focused on military equipment. We get fun, utility, services and whatever else people are willing to pay money to get. You already understand competition is necessary so that the market can thrive.

When more people spend more time being productive, they have better opportunities of being even more productive. When somebody isn't using their entire lifespan just to feed themselves, they can save up money to start their own hustle. That's when they can start offering their own utility and competition. More competition lowers the centralization of money and power.

You want the little guys to thrive so you don't end up relying on a single giant who has the ability to deny you access to their services - like internet, gas, food, electricity and water. You don't want them running around forever, wasting their time, since time equals money, so if only a few people are actually making money instead of wasting time, these people get all the money, centralizing all resources and power, letting them become the very same corrupted entity you despise.

Besides, when you have all kinds of people flocking toward a single place, big companies get to treat them like cow, since they are so easily replaceable, as we see in China. Everyone becomes so desperate just to feed themselves and their children, they become willing to literally die on their line of work, just so they don't starve to death.

The systematic problem here lies in the fact that if companies can replace their workers so easily, and when they have the entire region to themselves since no one else has money to provide opportunity, they don't need to develop. They get literally every resource. Whoever puts up a fight gets obliterated. Okay, maybe violence won't be used, maybe they'll buy their business. Either way, there's always less and less competition.

If you're paying taxes, that means you have enough wealth and income to be productive. Those receiving the taxes are spending all their time in an effort to barely stay alive through hard work. They need this incentive so they can spend less time being a slave. Not all of them will use their free time to climb the "meritocracy ladder", but some will. You need those that do to increase competition, which decreases centralization. Therefore, taxes are necessary to fight against the abuse you hate. You take away taxes, you take away competition.

"Oh but the government" well goddamn vote properly! If you see a dumb candidate then why the fuck would you vote for him. Yes, you have good intentions, at least try to understand the system you love. Are you're not happy with the systems at hand? Work with what you've got meanwhile. Just don't confuse capitalism's meritocracy with your own fantasized version of it.

The companies at the very top? The ones you hate? They don't pay taxes. That's why it's so easy for them to stay at the top for decades. They exploit loopholes in the law that aren't available to those who aren't wealthy enough. If you look at the company groups they're directly related with, you'll quickly spot a branch representing the ones abusing you. You've been tricked into helping them.

Giant oligarchies are the ones not playing by capitalism and free market rules. That's why you can't reach them, or least you won't while you vote for a sock puppet who is helping them instead of you. That goes for every country. You need to help the whole world get wiser and play smarter so first-world country companies can't, i.e., move their wealth to a third-world country where they dodge taxes.

> Multinational corporations are currently not required by law to publicly disclose how much tax they pay in some developing countries.

Who's going to stop a company like Google when their wealth protects them? You are helping them stay immune by voting while brainwashed.

> In March, the EU hit Google with a €1.5bn fine for blocking rival online search advertisers and last year the European Commission levelled a record **€4.3bn** fine against the firm over its Android mobile operating system.

> Google to pay **€1bn** to end French tax probe
> The settlement includes a €500m fine and additional taxes of €465m, but it is less than the tax bill authorities had accused Google of evading.

This is why you need governments. They are the ones in charge of at least trying to do something about the abuse of power. Yes, a government can't be too strong or it becomes a tool of abuse as well. Only you can help shape justice by casting your votes wisely and constantly trying to compete, not only against your peers, but against powers above your own. All without taking away the opportunity of those below you to also compete against you.
