One autumn afternoon I approached the cliff
The rough sea ruffled its waves in frantic whirlwind
Look at the horizon a sailboat and its fight against the wind
On the edge of the shore the crabs went after their prey
Seagulls traced a cheerful flight
A procession of clouds shared the sky which giants
I was invaded by nostalgia when I remembered my homeland
Right on a rock a girl looked at the immensity
And the ocean at my feet thus demonstrated its eternal power.
