*Deadly virus*

*After breakfast, Dr. Gorman gathered us on the concrete balcony outside the dining halls main doors.*

The mood had altered him since the daily news that he was receiving was discouraging, when he began to speak, he mentioned the care that we should take in the treatment of patients since from China came the rumor of a deadly virus that attacks people with defenses lowered to death, he had inquired about a cure but mankind seemed to be defenseless against this new threat.

We all look at each other's faces because despite knowing what viruses and bacteria represent, we were not aware that we were facing a new reality.

*Give me one second. I put this in here.*

He had pulled a thick report out of his portfolio with all the details of what he was saying.

Then he began to distribute an explanatory sheet of the measures that we should take to prevent infections, among others, the use of face masks was recommended when visiting any public space and keeping social distance, additionally a mandatory quarantine had to be implemented for at least 40 days to cut the foci of contagion.

Already more concerned every time, we could not believe that we were facing something similar to a biological warfare, the previous afternoon all of us who were present were celebrating in a bar without having the concerns that Dr. Gorman brought us at that time .

*dirty tennis shoes on the table*

In front of Dr. Gorman, he suddenly put those tennis shoes on
on the table, filthy and dirty, which looked like they had been through a war.

We all were surprised to see them, when he saw our intrigue, he immediately started to laugh and said:

"Guys, this is nothing more than tennis shoes, like the ones that will be used when it is time to bury the dead in the collective graves, we will not be able to cope with what lies ahead"

Suddenly Mary her assistant, in a deep voice, said:

"We only have to pray since the only one who has the answers and the solution is God, each one of us is in his hands"
