&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Crear, construir...es imposible no relacionar éstas palabras con lo que nos encontramos haciendo en HIVE. Asistiendo al evento "Caracas Blockchain Week", en una de las charlas en las que nos apersonamos, vimos una diapositiva que rezaba: "En los próximos 5 años, mil millones de personas adoptarán la Web 3.0" ¿Se imaginan ustedes eso? Y no lo decía cualquier expositor, no...Se trataba de uno de los representantes de BNB Chain. Estamos hablando de la novena parte de la población mundial ¿Sabe usted, mi estimado lector, la magnitud de esto? ¡Increíble!

> *Create, build... it is impossible not to relate these words to what we find ourselves doing at HIVE. Attending the event "Caracas Blockchain Week", in one of the talks we attended, we saw a slide that read: "In the next 5 years, one billion people will adopt Web 3.0" Can you imagine that? And it wasn't just any speaker, no... It was one of the representatives of BNB Chain. We are talking about one-ninth of the world's population. Do you know, my dear reader, the magnitude of this? Unbelievable!*

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Jamás imaginé me vería envuelto en la construcción del futuro. Y tiene que ver con la falta de sentido de trascendencia con el que venimos a éste valle de lágrimas. Es natural. Nuestros padres aspiran de nosotros vidas simples y felices. Jamás ser parte responsable de lo que será la nueva economía. Es cierto, más de un lector podrá pensar que exagero cuando les digo que estamos construyendo el mañana. Y tendría parte de razón si fuera perentorio echar código como desarrollador para poder asegurarlo con propiedad. Pero se equivoca.    

> *I never imagined I would be involved in the construction of the future. And it has to do with the lack of sense of transcendence with which we come to this vale of tears. It is natural. Our parents expect us to live simple and happy lives. Never to be a responsible part of what will be the new economy. It is true, more than one reader may think that I am exaggerating when I say that we are building tomorrow. And you'd be partly right if it were peremptory to code as a developer to be able to say that with propriety. But they would be wrong.*

Para colocar en contexto lo afirmado, quiero traer a colación la sinergia desplegada en el evento terminado el sábado: "Caracas Blockchain Week" En él, muy pocos hivers de quienes participaron son programadores. Muchos, eso sí, éramos creadores de contenidos. Dueños de nuestra plataforma trabajando para que todo saliera bien. Es decir, había un equipo designado de antemano por quienes tomaron la decisión de patrocinar el stand de HIVE, pero muchos de los designados oficiales no estaban preparados para lo que vendría después.

> *And I say this with all the responsibility that it entails. To put this into context, I would like to bring up the synergy displayed if ended on Saturday: "Caracas Blockchain Week" In it, very few of the participants were programmers. Many of us, however, were content creators. Owners of our platform working to make sure everything went well. That is, there was a team designated in advance by those who decided to sponsor the HIVE booth, but many of the official designees were not prepared for what was to come.*

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Un mar de personas invadió los espacios del recinto que albergaba el evento. Habría sido insuficiente los responsables designados de custodiar el stand por turno, para atender a ese público ávido de información. Y a decir verdad, solo asistí al evento con dos propósitos: visitar a los otros expositores para aprender y vigilar nuestro desempeño como comunidad. Bueno, cualquiera que fuera las intensiones de los demás o las mías, éstas tuvieron que pasar a un segundo plano, porque los designados necesitaron ayuda ante la marea de gente y de medios de comunicación que se apersonaron allá.       

> *A sea of people invaded the spaces of the enclosure that hosted the event. It would have been insufficient for those responsible for guarding the stand, in turn, to attend to this information-hungry public. And to tell the truth, I only attended the event for two purposes: to visit the other exhibitors to learn and to monitor our performance as a community. Well, whatever the intentions of the others or mine were, they had to take a back seat, because those designated needed help in the face of the tide of people and media that showed up there.*

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Fue un mar incontrolable. Como una marea repentina, decena de personas se acercaban y pedían información. Cada Hiver asistente se puso manos a la obra y ayudó como pudo. Aquel que no dominaba alguna pregunta, buscaba al que sí sabía; quien no recordaba una fecha la preguntaba; quien deseaba abrir una cuenta era atendido, en fin, un trabajo mancomunado como tenía tiempo no veía. Es decir, fui empresario alguna vez y ver aquella energía vital envolviendo todo cuanto acontecía me conmovió. Y vaya que no soy fácil de conmover.        

> *It was an uncontrollable sea. Like a sudden tide, dozens of people approached and asked for information. Each Hiver in attendance got down to work and helped as best he could. Whoever did not master a question, sought out the one who did; whoever did not remember a date asked; whoever wanted to open an account was assisted, in short, a joint work as I had not seen for a long time. That is to say, I was a businessman once, and seeing that vital energy enveloping everything that happened moved me. And I am not easy to move.*

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;La verdad sea dicha, recibir algo no esperado y encima ser testigo de una sinergia no vista en persona desde mis tiempos como dueño de empresas, hizo que brotaran lágrimas de orgullo por todos los hivers que estuvieron allí trabajando. No daba crédito a mis ojos. Un impulso sacado desde quien sabe qué lugar, produjo que cada persona llegada al stand se fuera satisfecha de habernos conocido. No solo eso. Fuimos la comunidad más grande y animada del evento, dicho por los propios organizadores, al punto que aseguraron el éxito debido a HIVE (dicho por ellos mismos).              
 
> *Truth be told, receiving something unexpected and witnessing a synergy not seen in person since my days as a business owner brought tears of pride to the eyes of all the hivers who were there working. I could not believe my eyes. An impulse from who knows where produced that every person who came to the booth left satisfied to have met us. Not only that. We were the largest and liveliest community of the event, said the organizers themselves, to the point that they assured the success due to HIVE (said by themselves).*

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Y ser parte de aquello me enorgulleció de todos y cada uno de los socios presentes allí. Cuando se construye o se crea algo, tienes que estar seguro de que siempre podrás contar con el hombro del otro quien se encuentra ayudando. Y esos cuatro días me demostraron que HIVE está para grandes cosas con la fuerza de una comunidad que se sabe empoderada, se sabe reconocida y, más aún, se siente dueña de su propio destino. Es increíble. Sé que nos falta mucho. Pero me iría a la guerra con cada uno de los hivers que vi actuando allí, entregándolo todo.  

> *And being part of that made me proud of every one of the partners present there. When you build or create something, you have to be sure that you can always count on the shoulder of the other who is helping. And those four days showed me that HIVE is ready for great things with the strength of a community that knows it is empowered, knows it is recognized and feels that it is the master of its destiny. It is incredible. I know we still have a long way to go. But I would go to war with each of the hivers I saw performing there, giving their all.*
     
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Y con esa misma energía regresé a Maracay, convencido que no nos encontramos solos en esto (lo confieso, a veces creía no me encontraba acompañado, pero nada más lejos de la realidad). Estando allá, me enteré que HIVE necesitaría representación en Maracaibo, la ciudad más grande de Venezuela en términos de población (si a Caracas dejas de contar la zona metropolitana de Miranda, pasaría a ser la segunda ciudad en población del país). Por ello escribo ésta entrada mientras preparo viaje allá, porque luego de ver lo de Caracas, HIVE necesita rostros que hablen por ella en Expo Zulia.      

> *And with that same energy I returned to Maracay, convinced that we were not alone in this (I confess, sometimes I thought I was not accompanied, but nothing could be further from the truth). While there, I found out that HIVE would need representation in Maracaibo, the largest city in Venezuela in terms of population (if you exclude the metropolitan area of Miranda from Caracas, it would become the second most populated city in the country). That is why I am writing this post while I prepare for my trip there because after seeing Caracas, HIVE needs faces to speak for it at Expo Zulia.*

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Pasar por la experiencia de la "Caracas Blockchain Week" es una de las cosas que atesoraré el resto de mi vida. Una muestra de denodada entrega por el bien común. Así veo aquello y también lo recordaré como la gesta más grande que ha tenido HIVE en el país. Fue un golpe de autoridad y mercadeo increíble. Y no exagero, estimados Hivers. Principalmente porque conozco la naturaleza de estos eventos y creo que agregan más valor que los meet-ups...No me malinterpreten, los últimos también son buenos, pero necesitamos crear conciencia en el medio blockchain sobre nuestra existencia. 

> *Going through the experience of "Caracas Blockchain Week" is one of the things I will treasure for the rest of my life. It was a display of courageous dedication to the common good. That is how I see it and I will also remember it as the greatest achievement that HIVE has had in the country. It was an incredible stroke of authority and marketing. And I am not exaggerating, dear Hivers. Mainly because I know the nature of these events and I think they add more value than meet-ups... Don't get me wrong, the latter is also good, but we need to create awareness in the blockchain environment about our existence.*

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;La Expo Zulia es un evento de toda la vida enmarcado dentro de la celebración de las feria Internacional de La Chinita y es una extraordinaria oportunidad de seguir construyendo. @arlettemsalase, @soylaloreto, @ilazramusic y éste servidor nos encontraremos allá para defender los conceptos y entregar información a los visitantes. Estamos seguros que los Hivers de esa ciudad, también apoyarán y se acercarán al stand. Construir es parte de una labor en conjunto y ahora más que nunca sé que no nos encontramos solos. Nos leemos por allí.        

> *Expo Zulia is a lifelong event framed within the celebration of the International Fair of La Chinita and is an extraordinary opportunity to continue building. @arlettemsalase, @soylaloreto, @ilazramusic, and I will be there to defend the concepts and provide information to visitors. We are sure that the Hivers of that city will also support and come to the stand. The building is part of a joint effort and now more than ever I know that we are not alone. See you there.*
