Check the price
<center>
Ive noticed there is noone trying it yet.

Sadly this means no tests on scalability (and dealing with upcoming issues) are happening just yet.

Some of the backend stuff has been improved and i now have a function online to [check the price](http://fitger.org/Pricecheck.php) you have to pay to a specific supplier of space (again, as of now thats just filebot itself) for a given time - or how much time you get for a specified amount of Steem or SBD.

As an example, thats how the form (filled in) looks like:
![Form](https://ipfs.io/ipfs/QmbhnxVDRWXk27bGgUBgNVgrj7FRjXKaChtdxLCeoyPkVw)

And this is an example response to this:

The price given, is rounded up to the second decimal space, if it would technicly cost 0.1512345 it is rounded to 0.16. This isnt the case in the actual calculation of the time it is stored, if you were to then send 0.16 with your files hash in the memo, it would be stored a bit longer than you said you wanted to in this form.

Yes, the price is currently low, this is for one thing due to the first people helping with optimisation and revelation of any problems [as mentioned before](https://steemit.com/ipfs/@filebot/experimental-launch) and for another the low upload rate i can provide (again, the IPFS network compensates that somewhat, but after all other nodes which dont have your file pinned got rid of the parts of your file they had, while if suddenly 5 people request a file it could be delivered to all five at allmost my upload rate, it cant be supplied to even one at more than that. Of course, if one requests a file now and another person in 5 minutes, the second person will have a much smoother experience), which makes my current node much more suitable for longterm or backup storage more than anything else.
